[SEMI-HIATUS] Welcome! I'm your average girl who loves a lot of things, including video games, anime/manga, movies, and fantasy books! In perpetual Persona and multifandom hell.
Here’s a project based on Persona 4 I did last year but never uploaded! I picked 9 of the most important battles in the game and painted these illustrations based around the way I envisioned them.
All drawings were done in ink and watercolour on 55x25cm paper, with about 90 hours of work total.
If Dojima became the killer I would have felt so bad for Nanako and Yu gosh. And I’m sure he would break down and talk about traumatic details of his wife’s death at some point and that would be just... No. Not going there.
I find this funny because come on, she’s six years old! And an angel at that. There was actually a fanart about it, that I found pretty hilarious. (Especially Adachi being her slave lol. Like father, like daughter)
Me too anon. This could make a great plot for an AU fanfiction.
That’s what I pictured too. Yukiko seeing this post, showing it to Chie, and her going ‘oooh I know how to check this!’ cue Chie rushing at Yosuke and enthusiastically stomping on his foot. Poor Yosuke.
About Persona 4, here is a random interesting and scary fact/rumor (not sure if it's true or not) about it: In an earlier version of the game the killer was going to be Dojima, but playtesters thought that that twist would make the lighthearted game way too dark so the killer got changed in the final version.
Oh, now that’s interesting! Well, the playtesters do have a point, plus, it would have been similar to P3′s plot a bit since a role model did turn out to be a villain already so… And then what would have happened to poor Nanako? And Yu? His parents haven’t even called him once in a whole year, if Dojima becomes the bad guy his family really, really sucks.
As for his motives… I’m guessing it would have to do with his wife’s death, and that instead of turning into a righteous workaholic he became downright bitter. This plot twist has potential however to be honest I like Adachi as the villain much more. I think he’s one of the most dangerous and fascinating kind of villain because he could be anyone. Your neighbor. A friend of a friend. Hell, your lover even, he’s a great actor. (Sympathy Crime showed this very well) Just someone who looks harmless on the outside but is actually pretty complex on the inside. He can’t accept his faults so he’s angry at the world instead.
I have a few headcanons about him but honestly he doesn’t even truly have a reason for doing what he did. He’s like a spoiled kid who got denied and he didn’t appreciate that one bit. If Dojima became the killer, Adachi might have just stayed a simple goof, and in my opinion that would have been a shame. Like him or not, he’s not your usual villain and that’s always a plus.
Woops, I didn’t mean to get into a rant, that was a nice tidbit of information anon, thanks for sharing it with me!
