I’m mostly enjoying it. In a low-investment way. Which is weird, because if they hadn’t pulled that stunt I probably would have bought Serena’s bundle at some point? And, like, raced through the whole first season, and gotten much more invested. *shrug* I am always a sucker for hyper-competent women, though. And the MC in this is much more interesting than a couple of the others.

I do enjoy the MC, too. She is clearly both a clever woman and someone who chooses to be kind which is a really important character trait that is very seldom recognized as important so that’s fun. (I mean, she has no specifically useful /shipwrecked on an island skills/ but let’s be real, how many people have useful deserted island skills?)
I’ve been trying to read Serena’s route, but when I can read does not line up to when the tickets recharge, and I refuse to spend money on a thing I would have to spend money to read again (so I can also never choose the heart options) and if I could just purchase the season I probably would have read it all in one day and then bought the next one with the next paycheck. I mean, I had a plan, I could buy one thing a week if they were the little stories, or one every other week if it was a bundle, and now I can do nothing.
Like. They broke their reading model. It’s stupid. I would be entirely in love with Serena if I could read it properly. As it is I like her but *shrugs* I have to wait for the next chapter, and by the time I can read the next chapter (and have tickets) I have kind of forgotten the last chapter, but I can’t re-read it? I can’t even spend a ticket to re-read it if I felt like being gratuitous because there’s no chapter access it’s just Next or First. I am so frustrated. Like, eventually the annoyance is going to outweigh the romancing-awesome-ladies satisfaction and I’m going to give up and they have shot themselves in the foot with this idiocy.
And it’s especially infuriating because they only need minor adjustments? Chapter access so you can choose where to spend your damn ticket, and an ability to over-ride the tickets and buy the damn thing, which is clearly in the programming because they grandfathered in previous purchases in the old apps so there is NO REASON not to make it an option in the new one. Either tickets /or hearts/ and hearts are permanent!
Ok and also give us a higher ticket max or faster recharge ... and put the ads in the ticket half instead of the heart half to earn more tickets? It’s just so stupid I can’t get over it. If I don’t give them money, it’s difficult and slow to access, but even if I do give them money it’s not permanent (unless I did the old app thing) AND NOW I GET ADS AGAIN. Generally you give someone money to get rid of those not to bring them back.
