november writing goals: week two update!

thoughts: the problem with writing stories is that it's usually more fun to think about them than it is to. you know. actually write them. but then every once in a while that creative joy kicks in and it's like your brain has just been injected with straight dopamine. anyway i'm still ahead for my 15k goal so that's good!!

thoughts: i had a rough start, but i'm a little ahead for my 15k goal now, i've settled into the routine of writing more, i'm invested in my story (i fucking better be after writing and rewriting this thing for the last 9 years), and i'm certainly enjoying my made-up horrors more than the real life horrors right now 🙃

wow! as a broke college kid, i wish there was a way to access books and movies as well as scientific articles that the new administration isn't necessarily a fan of. man. If only there was a free and trusted vpn ( up to 10 gigs of downloadable data) to use in conjunction with an anonymizing router (also free up to 10 gigs) to safely, er, permanently borrow media in an untraceable way as well as share files. Man, what's that browser that keeps your online activity anonymous? I'm awfully attached to firefox, personally. If only i had a browser extension that would throw a smoke screen over my browsing data while blocking ads at the same time.

i need everyone to know that community is what will save us all in every single way imaginable. you forming a bond with your neighbour or coworker might help them move house or feel less alone or have the courage to leave an unhealthy living environment. you helping a stranger might provide them with hope. in turn, being able to lean on your community in times of need will save you. your broader bonds with your community are the revolution we need. our society seeks to divide and separate us in so many ways but we are all so much more united in our struggles and joys than you are made to believe. we need to hold onto each other very tightly.
