Hey, just a reminder, while I get the reservations people might have with the terms, I do use pan as an identifier for myself. It’s the label I internalized as a closeted adolescent and it’s what I felt best fit me based on the descriptions I was given within my IRL microcommunity.
I recognize that bisexual and pansexual are synonyms. I do not, and have never thought, that bisexual excludes trans people, and I have never said the phrase “hearts not parts” (honestly never HEARD that phrase until the internet). I realize, however, that some people may still be uncomfortable following me knowing I identify as pan. And that’s fine! I understand; and it won’t hurt my feelings!
Having kept myself shoved in the closet for over a decade (and STILL largely in the closet outside of friends and immediate family), I don’t feel comfortable forcing myself to change one of the things that got me through years and years of internal and external homophobia.
Do you have a fetish for men or something
Does anyone have that anon accusing someone of fetishising trans men because he, a trans man, kept drawing them?
It was infact the same man
Clickbaitcowboy has been through too much 😔
THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON (2017)
History isn’t something you look back at and say it was inevitable. It happens because people make decisions that are sometimes very impulsive and of the moment, but those moments are cumulative realities. — Marsha P. Johnson
Queens started being filed out and being put into police cars, and guns had been drawn. Molotov cocktails were flying. And I’m like, “Oh my God, the revolution is here. Thank God. You’ve been treating us like shit all these years? Uh uh. Now it’s our turn.” — Sylvia Rivera
THE FIRST PRIDE WAS A RIOT HAPPY PRIDE | BLACK LIVES MATTER
Here’s some things to remember during 3rd anniversary of the Massacre at Pulse Nightclub…
- The overwhelming majority of 49 victims and 53 wounded survivors were Latinx AND Afro-Latinx. Several of the families even had difficulty organizing memorials and/or getting their loved ones back home because of their immigration statuses or because their families lived abroad. You better fucking remember and center that in your memorials.
- Politicians making post about flying rainbow flags outside their office or supporting a public memorial for Pulse are full of shit unless they are actively working to make life safer and just for LGBTQ AND Latinx/Afro-Latinx people across the country
- Pulse survivors and victims families are still in an active lawsuit around police response to Pulse, claiming that their civil rights were violated
- No gun safety measures were passed in response to Pulse, in Florida or the US
- Don’t just remember those affected by Pulse with thoughts and prayers. Honor Them With Action!
