To be clear: Rom is a beautiful and hard working mother. Takes care of her children. Protects the nightmarish reality from prying eyes. Reads them stories.
Favourite games:
1. Final Fantasy X
2. Persona 5
3. Okami
4. Bloodborne
5. Witcher III
That’s the top 5 in order.
This changed a bit so thought I would update it:
1. Bloodborne. Forever. Always. The best. My obsession. Never has a game caught my attention as much as this one. Never has a game’s gameplay given me so much enjoyment. The lore. The atmosphere, The cosmic horror. This game feels like it was made for me.
2. Nier Automata. This game hurt my soul. Other games make me cry but this game reached somewhere deep inside me that didn’t know it could be hurt. The gameplay is great (of course) and the setting is interesting but its the character development and the exploration of what it means to be alive that drives this game home. Also the music is the best I’ve heard, not just in a game, but for any media.
3. Witcher III- It’s a good game. It hits everything spot on. Very long but worth it every time. The pure worldbuilding, well written quests, moral dilemmas, and joy of playing as a witcher who hunts monsters is exceptional.
4. Final Fantasy X- It’s still good. Still the first game to make me cry. Still reminds me of why I love FF so much. But that voice acting…They need to remaster that not the game. Yuna is still my fave FF character though.
5. Granblue Fantasy Persona 5- It didn’t drop because it did anything wrong, I just have a higher appreciation for Bloodborne and Witcher III. The cast is brilliant however and keep you playing to find out more about them. Ryuji deserves better though.
Update
1. Bloodborne- Duh. Nothing will dethrone it ever.
2. Nier Automatosalad- Heart Game.
3. Persona 5 Royal- Yes it went back up but because of Royal. Because of Maruki. They literally took everything that slightly irritated me in the original game and fixed/improved it. The added/final dungeon is a beautiful swan song that encapsulates everything the story was saying in a tragic, bittersweet farewell. I’m still not done thinking about Maruki. I never will be.
4. God of War (4)- What a game SHOULD BE. Challenging and rewarding gameplay. A heartfelt and interesting story focused on two characters that grow throughout their journey. A beautiful world. Lore. Attention to detail. Sigrun is one of the best bosses I’ve ever fought in a game.
5. Final Fantasy X- I’m not removing it from my top 5. It means too much to me and replaying it recently just made me realise how much the story still touches me. Ha ha ha ha all you want Tidus, but all I wanted to do was cry by the end of it.
6. Witcher 3- Cyberpunk wishes it was this.
7. BOTW- It’s just good. I still have a rant coming for this game but ITS JUST GOOD. Not completed yet so this is sort of provisional but it kind of speaks for itself already. I have 70 plus hours in it.
8. Omori- It hurts but it hurts so right. Nier Automata spoke to me on an existential and philosophical level but Omori spoke to me on a personal and emotional level. It’s the only game on this list I say needs an honest to god trigger warning because it’s story about mental illness, grief, and guilt hits REALLY hard.
9. Okami- I have replayed this game countless times and yet I’m still tempted to buy it again for the Switch, I think that says it all.
10. Tales of Berseria- Best cast of main characters in a game. Gameplay is fun but its the story that sets this one apart. Velvet is also one of the best written protagonists, I love her development and the moment with her and Laphicet (you know what moment if you’ve played it) gets me every time. Also Magilou. Just Magilou.
Fire Emblem might be here in the future but I’m still yet to complete my first route lol.

i really love Ludwig's boss design, I don't think anything has ever evoked that kind of visceral disgust and pity at the same time as that beastly, shambling mess he'd become. you get this image of a shining knight on a noble steed, an imagery that is generally considered as heroic as it comes, and then... you twist it and turn it inside out.
fusing the knight together with his horse? that tangled mess of both of their limbs just dangling uselessly in the air? that morbid, human face stretched over a skull that is mutating into an animal skull? the damn eyeball-lined inside of the stump that was probably where the horse's actual head was?
brilliant. magnificent. terrifying. pitiful. amazing. my my heart aches so badly and it is so good, what a fucking GOOD DESIGN
It’s funny how I feel sorry for almost every boss in Bloodborne...
…except Micolash. He’s a twat.
i did this instead of pay attention to my lecture class
