I'm not at all surprised this didn't get past the censors but I'm so mad that it didn't, because this could've been something really special, and the fact it was canned after being fully finished is downright painful. This episode was wonderful and I'm grateful to all the people who worked on it, and angry that their hard work was wasted. Disney did not deserve you.

I just really love the idea of bingge treating shen yuan like a toy he doesn't quite understand. I think while shen yuan sleeps he sneaks into his room and watches his face. Sometimes shen yuan subconsciously feels a presence near him and can't sleep properly. Sometimes he's out like a light and binghe stares at his soft, relaxed face for hours, trying to figure out how shen yuan can go to sleep so unguarded

When shen yuan gets caught by a trap or wild creature, binghe ignores his cries for help. He leans back against a tree and watches shen yuan try to escape on his own against a plant creature that grows two vines everytime one is cut down. Shen Yuan has such intelligent plans and ideas, binghe wants to see what he'll come up with for this. When shen yuan escapes, he gives bingge the silent treatment until binghe makes him dinner

Ita okay though. Because shen yuan expects this kind of thing from his favourite blackened protagonist. Binghe is his little meow meow, in all his toxic and manipulative glory

I think bingge would only even realise he's fallen in love if like, he pushed too far with one thing so she yuan just up and leaves (only for a brief period, because while he loves his blackened protagonist, sometimes a man just needs a break) and bingge is struck with the sudden realisation that Shen yuan could just leave.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back

additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you

the misinterpretation of a lonely place of dying by later retellings drives me nuts because ‘tim finds out who batman is’ is nearly not as much of a big deal as ‘tim doesnt want to be robin’ in the actual origin and it pretty much sums up whats wrong with modern tim drake. ALPOD is a tragic story of a twelve year old boy who had everything and willingly gave it up for a greater good. he is not like dick and jason who became robin to escape tragedy nor bruce who had everything and then lost it. robin was nothing but a curse he accepted to bear and he did so because of his selflessness. that selflessness is his driving rod, his smarts and physical talent are only the tools he uses to achieve his goals. he is not ‘the smart one’, he is a sacrificial lamb for a cause he became an unwilling spectator of. a twelve year old boy thought ‘people need saving, its that simple’ and put on the clothes a dying kid not much older than him wore because of nothing more than his selflessness and everyone he loved paid the price for it. he paid an even greater price for it.

Becoming robin was NEVER Tim's first choice. I think a major part of his character is that if you have him the choice to redo things so that everything would have been ok without him becoming robin, he would have taken it. But in the same breath if you had told him to make that choice, but the only time everything ends up better is if he does become robin, he would have made the same choice every time. Tim always weighs the greater good over his own self preservation.

I mean, if a meta appears in Gotham -especially a Justice League meta- without batman around, it would be safe to assume that shit has gone down. Like, well above Robin's paygrade, you-are-not-trained-enough-for-this-stay-in-gotham-and-protect-her type shit. Batman has tried his hardest to ingrain into his robins that it's better to run away from a situation you can't handle. Better to run and have a bruised ego, then stay and die with only pride.
