You know I might be annoyed with Grey’s Anatomy half the time, but out of the 12 seasons they’ve had, the show has never once killed any of their major POC or LGBT characters. And considering how large their cast has always been, and how many regulars come and go, that’s huge.

What I really took away from this scene is that Emma looks exasperated with the search for the Author. Almost like she doesn’t want Regina to find the Author because that would mean bringing back R0bin and seeing Regina in the arms of another cuts her emotionally.

JMo HAS talent. she does “i am pained but i’m going to put on a brave face” in that last gif. why? why if Emma just wants Regina to be happy? why if Emma doesn’t have some kind of pain about this that she can’t share with Regina? and Emma could share “you’re my friend and you’re not happy” pain with Regina. so?!?!?!

So, I have a question. In the past when this kind of thing has come up, you’ve said (if I’m remembering right) that an actor can be directed in a certain way so the scene ends up the way the writers want it, after editing. But here you’re saying that it’s because of her talent, which means she’s got to be aware of what she’s doing, right? 

she has to be aware of conveying “i am pained but i’m going to put on a brave face,” but she may not know why, and based on things i have learned recently it seems that she would be the type not to ask or have any desire to know.

However, as a budding director, she IS aware that there is a emotion to instruct an actor to convey. So as as actress age must decide on some level what the motivation for such emotion would possibly be. Her inner-Emma explanation however is obviously not the same as ours.

I am not saying I want to fuck middle aged actresses but I really do want that.
