i love early season 1 rqg. Zolf is useless, Hamid is useless, Sir Bertrand Macguffingham just put his hands through a door. Sasha saw a tree for the first time and is extremely sceptical (it was a palm tree).

A very important thing I just noticed when I relistened to RQG is how much Hamid is just despreatedly looking for a father figure everywhere. Poor boy has deep daddy issues and it will affect his relationship with all authority figures he finds.

design notes: lots of dress shirts and ties and sweatervests. Usually has his hair slicked back neatly at the start of the day but by the end it's an unruly mess. Lots of unimpressed scowls; tries to look appropriately business-y to statement givers but this is somewhat undermined by the fact the Archives constantly look like they're about to collapse around everyone's ears...

I used to hate it when people said the trick was to just do it until ‘do it scared’ started going around, because that’s truly it. Life didn’t start changing until I applied for jobs with one hand in front of my eyes and a trembling hand navigating my computer mouse. Or until I said everything on my mind (in moderation) with my fists clenched and my legs weak. Or until I refused to accept that I’d ‘just’ be shy forever while also kind of being nauseous at the idea of trying to be the opposite. Two things can coexist and that’s exactly the point of believing that you can do anything.

Nothing's gonna come out of this probably but. I want to make OCs, right. And in this scenario there is a guy or a girl or a person and this person has a dead wife. And that isn't great. They're very upset. So they pray to a god, whatever god they can, and they offer up anything to revive said dead wife. They summon this god up from whatever place he's been vibing in and begs him to resurrect their wife. And the god, surprisingly, says yes, and gives them a list of things to accomplish before the resurrection ritual can begin. And the mortal is ecstatic! Like hell yeah they're getting their wife back. And the god follows him along for the ride. Because hey, free entertainment.

Meanwhile, the god is beside himself in panic because he did Not mean that. He was incredibly flustered, woken up from a centuries long nap, and met with the face of a very disheveled but incredibly attractive widower and spat out the first thing he could think of. And now they're both in a legally binding contract wherein the human is sent on a goose chase to complete like 12 impossible tasks and the god is trying to figure out how to raise someone from the dead while trailing the human around to make sure they don't die from the very fatal list of quests the god sent them on to stall

contrary to popular belief not everyone has an innate sense of internal gender or care to have one or seek a name for it, some people go their whole lives without questioning their occupation in one of two gender roles, but for some people, if pressed, they don’t feel that internal sense of ‘i am a woman’ or ‘i am a man’, and in that case i feel the switch over to transgender vs cisgender relies on active identification of a gender other than the one they were assigned. if someone’s like ‘idk dude I just work here’ then that’s valid

A portion of people in the notes are like ‘but that makes you trans. That’s called being agender’ and another portion of people are going ‘this is how the majority of cis ppl feel and it’s NOT agender’ and personally I feel like both of them are missing the point here. Yes a lot of people identify as agender because of this feeling. Yes a lot of people with this same feeling still identify as cis. These are not mutually exclusive experiences and it doesn’t mean the agender people are secretly cis or the cis people are secretly agender. It just means they have very similar experiences of gender that they choose to conceptualize and label differently, and neither of them are mistaken or wrong to do so.

Happy disability pride month to the undiagnosed. To the people lying in bed, in fatigue or pain, unexplained because their doctors ignore them or don't believe them.

To the people who're suffering but don't have the answers as to why, to the many more that think their suffering is normal because it's been going on for so long or they were thought to be exaggerating when describing symptoms.

I suffered from a chronic illness for years because my doctor, and nurse practitioner, ignored me when I said I was fatigued constantly. It's a miracle I was diagnosed by that nurse practitioner at all.

And I've been living with tactile hallucinations my whole life, but was brushed off in my childhood when I tried to tell people I feel bugs crawling on me when they're not there. (Before I get any comments - believe me. This is disabling. I'd be constantly paranoid without my antipyschotics, and in a way I still kind of am.)

Our doctors often fail us in many ways, even though they're supposed to help us, and in certain countries we even have to PAY large amounts to get ignored by these doctors.

If you relate to my story, I'm sorry. I hope we can both find better luck from the places that're supposed to help us in the future.
