IM GOING TO LOVE THIS LIFE. NO MATTER WHAT
Life is really just returning back to yourself over and over and over again.
Using “it’s just not in the cards for me” as a catch all term for all the things that could’ve happened but won’t happen for some circumstance or another… like it’s just not in the cards for me. It’s not preordained. It’s not planned. Different things are coming. And that is okay and it’s not a bad thing
Had a conversation w one of my friends today who’s matriculating in med school next year actually, but this year she met this wonderful amazing guy she’s completely taken by but had to turn down bc obvi by next year she’ll be in a whole diff state…. And I was struck by her being like “I like him a lot but it’s just not in the cards for me” bc it’s a right person wrong time situation. Like she rly just said that. She did not agonize over it. I want to be like this bc I feel like I spend so much time poring over the what could’ve beens when sometimes things are just not in the cards for u
People unpleaser

quick life update
- got back into my favorite uni routine—coffee, lectures, and pretending to study for a few hours before heading out.
- fell deeply into silence & it was surprisingly comforting
- accidentally spilled coffee all over my notes before a huge presentation but managed to make it work. my professor called it “charming”
- found an abandoned book on a park bench. inside was a handkerchief pasta recipe
- made a new friend at a bookstore after we reached for the same copy of a camus novel
- spent a lot of time thinking about time
- attempted to learn italian again. failed
- bought a vintage gray blazer that feels like it was made for me.
- rediscovered my love for classic tailoring. it’s in the fit :)
- had a random dream where i was dining with tolstoy. woke up feeling oddly inspired
- reorganized my jewelry box and realized i wear the same three things
- started collecting little moments instead of things: sunlight through leaves, quiet mornings, laughter that lingers
