“I would have blessed you instantly.” Poseidon said, his face darkening. "I would have eliminated that threat right away. I would never have lost you to this kind of curse."

Percy looked at his father, smiling more confidently afterwards. He dropped his head onto the god's shoulder, who hugged him tightly in return.

"I can wait a little longer to go back." Percy murmured, letting his father hold him. "I'm not in much of a hurry."

Poseidon smiled, leaving a kiss on his son's head.
