i can get soo serious about sandralynn and gilear's relationship and if somebody gives me a slight push you're never gonna hear the end of it i can be so normal (lying) about it
it's after midnight and i have my final exams in three days so here's the most tired version of it but sandra lynn faeth who sabotages her own relationships time and time again, who we saw in a relationship with jawbone for a year and cheated on him at least twice. who's trying to find herself as a person and mother outside all of these relationships and her reputation in elmville and aguefort. she seems to be bouncing from place to place constantly unable to make the settling down work. sandra lynn got married to gilear faeth and stayed with him for 15+ years. she seems to have cheated on him only once and actively works to make it back up and try to forget it, because she can't ruin their relationship too. she had a daughter with him (it was gorthalax's baby but sandra commitment issues lynn chose to raise her with gilear without a word that could get her out of it. she didn't have to be stuck there). she ruined things with jawbone back in leviathan and as she struggles with that, she goes back to gilear. that's still the comfortable place for her. fabian asks her how she could ever be with gilear and with a hint of love she says he wasn't always like this. well he was more like this than maybe she'd like to admit. we've seen gilear, sandra lynn wasn't in love with a different man. it was gilear. stuck under the wheel gilear, throwing skateboards gilear, banned from public buses gilear, lunch lad gilear. the most integral thing we hear about sandra lynn's trauma is her inability to keep stable relationships. yet she was married to gilear for over 15 years. and she didn't end that relationship. gilear did. if it was up to her she would've kept trying to fix it, she didn't want to get a divorce. gilear was safe and comfortable and hers. fig found an old picture of gilear and sandra lynn when they were younger at a rock concert. sandra lynn brought him along for her interests and introduced him to new things. gilear moved from fallinell for her. gilear is insecure about almost everything in his life. the only place we've seen his confidence come from is fig and sandra lynn. in their relationship wet paper bag soul gilear knew he was loved and felt secure in it. they were married for over 15 years. he moved from fallinell for her. he left his job for her. and it might not seem like a testament but we've seen the miserable pits of gilear's character, and when he didn't feel respected anymore, he ended their relationship. when it stopped working he ended it. he felt good enough to know he deserved better. they are still so very good friends. they were married for over 15 years
