he's seen more of peter's other abilities than he has strength. i.e. his stealth and his agility. however, spider-man caught a bus before and that wouldn't have gone unnoticed. bruce was very aware that peter could have very well kicked him to next week- but the building thing would have been a "hm" moment for him. because spider-man caught a bus, sure. but now we're getting up there in strength- an entire building, held up for several minutes.

if peter was up to standard for nutrition and training, etc, then he wouldn't have blacked out. it would have been far easier and that caught bruce's attention more than anything. alfred started making a nutritional diet for peter to make up for what he's lost, and damian started testing out what peter already does and doesn't know/can do. bruce has been paying attention to all of it. i've hinted that bruce would be helping peter with his spider-sense later, but there's more to that than JUST spider-sense. we'll get to know more about that during friendsgiving

also: bruce been working with and has worked against supers for a good chunk of his career. so if he'd have taken the hit, he'd have treated it like it was nothing and PETER would have been the one freaked out in this situation. bruce is so so so human but he is terrifying at the end of the day.

yeah bruce is a human!! it feels so important to his character that he's a human that it felt wrong to turn him into something even for a silly au. it's also hilarious to me that bruce is the only human surrounded by a gaggle of children who are magic and/or creatures of the night/cryptids, and STILL manages to have Batman be... Batman

also im still on the fence about how dick cane to be a vampire! if he's turned, i think it would be interesting to have him be turned on the day his parents died, and bruce struggle to take care of a newly turned vampire. on the other hand, bruce would struggle with dick as a vampire anyway, even if he was born that way. i want to do my own little twist on vampires (like how they really just need a lot more iron than the average human or smth like that), so honestly whatever is the most entertaining will be his backstory

Halloween AU!!!

hey so. i put SOOOOO much effort into this au and for what? at least it ended up looking cool? anyways Halloween is my favorite holiday and i just HAD to make something for them!

i had a LOT of ideas for what everyone would be, but i really wanted to stick to a certain theme cause it's based around Halloween. i knew i had to have a vampire, werewolf, and a witch. cause like... obviously. iconic Halloween stuff!! but i took some liberties with everyone else and i think they turned out pretty cool!!

i really really REALLY want some scenes with this dynamic. peter collects mentor figures and i've had it set up for a while now that bruce and peter are going to train at least once because can you IMAGINE spider-man that's trained with batman???? EVERYONE IS FUCKED every enemy of spider-man after that is FUCKED

there is an uptick of people thinking that bruce like. emotionally manipulated peter in LoF? i should clarify that bruce did not do that??

just saw a post that reminded me that Jury Duty exists and it reminded me of a dream I had where the Batfam (+ Peter because it was LoF I guess) were on a show that was sort of like that, but mixed with Impractical Jokers. I'm pretty sure they were tricking Bruce which made it that much funnier. I think it was like. Bruce thought they were filming for a documentary about the people of Gotham and why people continue to live there, and his family being involved in so many different parts of the city they were interviewed a lot and showed up so often. Except like during the month that they were filming, increasingly bizarre things kept happening. The kids would pretend to be involved in so many more things than they actually were. "Why does Tim own several tattoo shops" and "why is Jason friends with every manager of Party City" and stuff like that. But the point was to see when Bruce would break/really react to something because he's so "easy going" in the eyes of the public. So there was also pranks like you'd see on Impractical Jokers and Bruce would just be like "this is Gotham" to all of them, but they kept getting weirder and the kids kept upping the stakes. Peter and Tim were planning to shoot Peter out of a cannon into a pool while Bruce talked about the community center they were building and I woke up before I could see the end of that

teehee :3 i might maybe have a plan and a reason for that... there are some variants that are not the *exact* same as the other. (Biggie and Benny, for example...) they don't look the exact same and they don't have the same stories, but fundamentally they are the same person. i played around with the multiverse. Even Peter looks different from a lot of Peter Parker variants. Sort of like how the three Peter Parkers in the one Holland movie are Peter, but all look different. I took some liberties to spice the story up (￣y▽,￣)╭

i see the appeal, but i don't like it personally. they're just two fundamentally different characters now that i can't equivalate them with each other. maybe i could see the tie in with the both of them dying tragically? furthering the plot for another character? but at the same time, that'd make universal equivalents for millions of characters

Dick and Tim would be REALLY good on reality tv,,, they're both charismatic (please do not forget that Tim makes friends/allies easily just like Dick can), handsome, CLEVER, and know how to play to a persona. i think they'd go on shows for fun and to de-stress. like one too many things piss them off in their daily lives and they could pretty much get a vacation from it just to go on these shows. no one in the family can talk to them and they get to annoy people, crack jokes, and get fun puzzles in the form of a literal puzzle or figuring out social dynamics of the other players.

sometimes they go on shows by themselves but mostly use it as a brotherly bonding activity. if it's a show where they can be a duo they're GOING to do it. and they're going in to play to a storyline, not to win. they don't need the money, they don't need the publicity, they just want to have fun. sometimes if they figure out that everyone on the show sucks and they get competitive, they'll win. but mostly their goal is "how can we make the funniest plot line look the most natural." or something like that. i know a producer LOVES to see them coming. i bet EVERYONE tunes in when they're on a show because they're fucking hilarious even if half of what they say are inside jokes. the rest of the family watches and they KNOW what those shits are pulling, they have betting pools where they guess what the two are gonna do next, they're the FIRST to make memes for both internet and for the family group chats.

one time they convinced Bruce to go (it's been many a years since he really had to play up the Brucie role, cause he's a dad now and the older he gets the more people expect him to mellow out, and even back when he was full Brucie, reality TV wasn't his thing). it was one of those survival based shows where you come is as a team and try to win together. Bruce got lost in the woods after going on a hike. The camera men literally lost him and Tim and Dick were playing it up for the camera. Dick cried and invited the other teams to a funeral. Tim had a speech that was basically "I think he's fine but this is my perfect opportunity to embarrass my dad with stories." The producers were like "we fucking killed Bruce Wayne oh my fucking god" and Bruce shows up at the funeral like "oh what a beautiful service my boys are so great." They won by pure luck and circumstances and they were actively TRYING to lose that game. They were gobsmacked at the end and everyone uses the moment they looked at each other in confusion and shock as reaction gifs

i personally am in love with the idea of Tim making Batman figure him out. like straight up telling him "I figured YOU out, so it's your turn now" and Bruce is actually having fun with this because Tim is the same level of insane as Bruce is yknow,,, it gets increasingly more difficult for both of them as Tim tries to hide his identity and Bruce tries to figure him out and they're both very aware that Bruce can't even think about adopting him until he figures Tim out,,, like the father son dynamic is gonna be crazy here. he's helped Tim with his homework before but doesn't know his name, etc.

and then Peter comes along and it's like lighting a match and throwing it at some gasoline
