he's seen more of peter's other abilities than he has strength. i.e. his stealth and his agility. however, spider-man caught a bus before and that wouldn't have gone unnoticed. bruce was very aware that peter could have very well kicked him to next week- but the building thing would have been a "hm" moment for him. because spider-man caught a bus, sure. but now we're getting up there in strength- an entire building, held up for several minutes.

if peter was up to standard for nutrition and training, etc, then he wouldn't have blacked out. it would have been far easier and that caught bruce's attention more than anything. alfred started making a nutritional diet for peter to make up for what he's lost, and damian started testing out what peter already does and doesn't know/can do. bruce has been paying attention to all of it. i've hinted that bruce would be helping peter with his spider-sense later, but there's more to that than JUST spider-sense. we'll get to know more about that during friendsgiving

also: bruce been working with and has worked against supers for a good chunk of his career. so if he'd have taken the hit, he'd have treated it like it was nothing and PETER would have been the one freaked out in this situation. bruce is so so so human but he is terrifying at the end of the day.

(it would have hurt SOOOO bad but bruce would be pretending he's fine)

i've been locked in since yesterday (wrote the 5000 yesterday), and now im hoping to get to at least 17000 today. much easier since i FINALLY figured out what i disliked about a scene that was making it hard to write + i'm writing the conversation with dick and peter about peter's life story and i know this kid's trauma like the back of my hand

yeah bruce is a human!! it feels so important to his character that he's a human that it felt wrong to turn him into something even for a silly au. it's also hilarious to me that bruce is the only human surrounded by a gaggle of children who are magic and/or creatures of the night/cryptids, and STILL manages to have Batman be... Batman

also im still on the fence about how dick cane to be a vampire! if he's turned, i think it would be interesting to have him be turned on the day his parents died, and bruce struggle to take care of a newly turned vampire. on the other hand, bruce would struggle with dick as a vampire anyway, even if he was born that way. i want to do my own little twist on vampires (like how they really just need a lot more iron than the average human or smth like that), so honestly whatever is the most entertaining will be his backstory

i want to do something for the Halloween AU, not just character design sheets... however, i can't decide WHAT to do.

on one hand, i could write a one shot, and this could be the start of "holiday" one shots or au one shots for LoF? i plan on doing that anyway, but it feels awkward to start with the Halloween AU for some reason, so i'm a little hesitant. on the other hand, if i go and do a drawing, i'm struggling to figure out what to draw exactly. i want to get it done before Halloween but life might get in the way so i don't want it to be too big that i don't get it done yknow? (the character design sheets took me 9 hours...)

oh 100000% malleus would be their friend. the batfam sees the wildest shit every day of their lives and malleus wouldn't even make top ten. i see the argument that because she has black hair and blue eyes she should be adopted and i sigh a little bit like i get where you're coming from!! she's clever and a problem solved and a natural leader but!!!! Adrian fits the bill for adoption much better? and also i think the batfam deserve to kick the shit out of all the adult figures in his life (besides his bodygaurd i think? in my au he's chill)

if i wrote this though, i would not be using canon. i just can not bring myself to watch it again and i would rather write my own version in all honesty. and i would also make the universes combined rather than dimension hopping like LoF
