hey that's rude, don't burn someone's boyfriend
the sleepy snoozers
And you can tell everybody
This is your song
It may be quite simple, but
Now that it's done
I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is
While you're in the world.
Elton John - Your Song
hiiii hello haii
translation of the second drawing:
- my friend making a super complex strategy
- me with a chaos entity inside my ass
Because- he's being possessed so bill's literally inside of him, get it?? Haha- that's gross.
For years I have desired to make fanart of The Diner Scene in Journal 3, yet I haven't gotten around to a finished piece. Behold. Attempt number one.
Since getting back into gravity falls I have been So Incredibly Motivated with silly little ideas. Not gonna say the M word but I'm loving the irony of my inspiration lmao
They got tired of the drama and eloped... together...
So, while it's certainly not my intention to talk about pages of the bill book basically every day, it seems every time I write one post I end up thinking about something else. Here's the next something else.
trouble in the bunker is the funniest journal page to me
ford why would you draw it like that
hey…
A Bill Book related post again. I touched on this the other day when I posted these pages sans-explanation. And I really do still want to make a more coherent post about this, But like
Hi hello yes another Bill book post even though I said I was too busy to be making these (and I am!). This will be a quick one. Not an attempt to prove anything. Merely hollering into the void.
Hello. It's me again. I'm sure you've realized by now what this type of introduction to a post is leading into. I'm going to bring up another page in the bill book. This entry is going to be less about "proving" anything, but rather it's just something I'd like to discuss. (Also just a warning, this one ends up a bit long due to how many photos are included!)
By getting a snippet of an editable PDF version of the Spanish edition, I just found another couple of fonts used for the Gravity Falls Journal 3:
ITC American Typewriter, designed by Joel Kaden and Tony Stan, used for the Oregon Parks Department note, & Smudger designed by Andrew Smith, used to highlight some Ford text in capital letters. Both published by ITC.
*Comparisons made with demos of the fonts for demonstration purposes only.*
In the PDF there were some other fonts that I still need to confirm if they come from the original version or were additions from the Spanish one, if I verify that they do, I will make an update.
Do we know the fonts used in Journal 3 for the non-Ford people who wrote in it? :O
I'm still looking for a way to find Soos's, Bill's, and the government's. I've only managed to find Dipper's and Mabel's (which changed since Journal 3):
DK Crayon Crumble by Hanoded, published by Hanoded Fonts and used for Mabel's handwriting.
*Comparison made with a demo of the font for demonstration purposes only*
and Joe Font, used as handwriting for Dipper (and in fact, it's the same font used for the end credits of episodes in the show). Although I was able to find the file to use it, no matter how hard I tried to track down the original source of this font I couldn't do it.
