Chris Pine in Just My Luck (2006)
Baby faced Chris is adorable, isn’t he?
HE IS, ridiculously so! You know, I still haven’t seen Just My Luck and clearly I should if it features this kind of nonsense?
And ha, I’m glad you sent an ask because I could not for the life of me find your previous comment in my activity (thanks for nothing, tumblr).
This is an amazing picture.
Chris pine looks like a puppy, Karl urban looks like a 5 year old child who got forced to be in a picture, Zachary Quinto’s hair looks like a mini tsunami on his head, Sofia boutella looks like one of those girls who wakes up looking perfect and John is just being John. I love this picture.
Lucky I Ran Into You
A/N: For an anonymous request for #50 (“accost”) – note to requester, I’m only using the “Pinto” part of your prompt, and of course the word you chose. Hope you like it! First-meeting fic (they are both so smooth omg). 543 words.
Zach jogged another few minutes on his regular route, trying to keep his eye on his surroundings while also trying to look kind of cool.
He paused just short of the corner to wave a car on, and used the opportunity to look around once more. When he saw no one coming from either direction, he stifled a sigh and decided to stop and re-tie his laces. Might as well use the chance to make sure he wasn’t going to trip over himself. God knew the whole “just jog until you see that cute guy again, and then don’t just bro-nod him like you did the last eighteen times: get his digits,” advice from his friend Aaron was not working out.
Then mid-looping, he glanced up and saw that cute guy he’d been hoping to run into, the one with the close-cropped light brown hair and loose nylon shorts, trotting along down the street perpendicular to Zach. He was bare-chested again, his sweaty t-shirt tucked into his waistband, nice arms pumping loosely. Okay, so he was a little more frat boy than Zach usually went for, but man, did he want to get all over that.
Okay, so this was it. Getting caught crouching down didn’t seem like the best pose to strike, but before Zach could find a better position for their soon-to-be-epic meeting, he saw the guy stop and peer around him.
The dude looked over his shoulder, across the street, and basically turned around in a circle, clearly trying to scope out the landscape. Whatever he was looking for, he seemed disappointed as hell not to have spotted it. He bit his lip for a second, standing still with his hands on his hips, and then started up a slow jog again.
Zach bit back his grin. He had so not planned on having the advantage here, but of course he was going to use it. So when the guy got within casual shouting distance, Zach got to his feet and called out the most blasé-sounding, “Hey,” he could utter.
The guy started and stumbled, hand to his chest. He pulled up short a few steps later while his full lips formed a literal “o” of surprise. "There you are,“ he said to Zach. Then a panicked look flitted over his handsome features and he added hastily, “I mean, just as a runner or fellow pedestrian. There you are, sharing the road. With me. I wasn’t, uh, looking for you specifically.” He laughed awkwardly and shook his head; little beads of sweat flew off him.
“Hey, I was just going to grab an iced coffee,” Zach said nonchalantly. "You about done with your run? Want to come with?“
"Sure, yeah,” the guy said breathlessly. "I was just finishing up.“ He smiled and Zach cleared his throat. Good god he was gorgeous.
Then the gorgeous guy pointed down at Zach’s feet. "Probably better tie those first though, right? Don’t want you to fall all over yourself.” He grinned, his eyes crinkling appealingly.
Zach muttered his thanks and bent down to fix his laces. So much for looking cool. But when they started jogging at an easy clip together, matching strides effortlessly, he couldn’t find it in him to care too much.
This is awesome and here is a helpful visual
Ahahaha, you know i had that in my mind! Also to imagine CP shirtless with his t-shirt tucked into the back of his shorts and free ballin’ looking befuddled, another visual aid!
