things everyone should know about trichotillomania (trich) 

  • it is a mental disorder that causes and impulse in the brain to pull and/or twist hair until it comes out
  • it affects 4% of women (men can have it too but it mostly affects women) 
  • people with trich can pull from one area on their bodies to many areas on their bodes (head, eyebrows, eyelashes, arms, legs, etc) and it is different for every person 
  • people with trich pull because it releases a satisfying/relieving sensation in the place where the hair was pulled
  • it. is. not. a. choice.

Hi,so i went to a psychiatrist a while ago and diagnosed me with depression and anxiety but he never told us which kind it was.I was wondering What it could be? I've researched a bit and i think it could be dysthimia,but the thing is it doesnt match completely,What doesnt match is that I've had periods/episodes where it gets completely unbearable cant get out of bed at all,not sleep, eating TOO much,i've planned and attempted suicide; basically how major depression is described. What do u think?
