Okay, so I’m currently reading the Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton, and there was this one part where the Schuyler family was attacked by the British, so the whole family hid in the attic, but then they’ve remembered that they left Mrs. Schuyler’s baby downstairs

Angelica and Eliza were both pregnant at that time, so Peggy climbed down the stairs, and as she was taking the baby, one of the soldiers barred her way with a musket. When she was asked where is Mr. Schuyler, she coolheadedly responded that she had already gone away to the city for help.

The intruders were scared that he could bring backup, so they fled. 

TL;DR: Peggy was super badass and she definitely deserves more credit.
