Summary: Sam and Dean find themselves in the middle of the apocalypse—an apocalypse riddled with cordyceps and monsters they have never had to battle before. While searching for items that could help make some weapons, they run into someone who knows what hunting used to mean. She takes them under her wing, bringing them home to Jackson.

The building was in ruins, left for nature to take back after the world fell apart. The floors were filled with holes where rotted wood gave way, and broken furniture and windows littered the rooms the brothers crawled through. Sam and Dean moved carefully through the silence, kicking up dust and mold from time to time despite their planned steps. 

“This is disgusting,” Dean muttered, going through the drawers of a worn desk in search of anything they could use.  

“You know the deal, Dean. We search everything we come across,” Sam said quietly, his hand resting on the rifle across his chest. He kept his head on a swivel for anything that might come their way. Dean closed the drawer harder than he meant to.

writing in our inbox anonymously with comments of pure hate or irritation because we’re not writing or publishing fast enough for you is absolutely unacceptable. not to mention cowardly since you’re hiding behind your screen.

some of us are broke college students with busy schedules. we don’t get much free time between classes, exams, studying, homework, etc. plus the students who still have to work in order to pay for our school.

some of us are adults with full time jobs. who get up every morning at the ass crack of dawn to go work a 7+ hour shift. and then get home just to work some more and then finally collapse into our beds because our bodies NEED the rest. and then we wake up, rinse and repeat the next day.

some of us have families that we have to take care of.

sometimes we get sick.

sometimes we get depressed.

sometimes we get anxiety.

sometimes we just don’t have the motivation to write.

sometimes we are human. just like you are.

we write because we love to. we write because we know that you love to read our works.

we will continue to write for you guys. but please be patient and remember that we are human beings with lives just like yours. so please be kind to us.

Something to be Thankful For - Masterlist

Jensen Ackles’ life changes when he walks into his favorite coffee shop and meets Y/N, a Florida girl making a new start in Austin, Texas, as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the help of her sister. The two hit it off and quickly become an item that even the tabloids can’t tear apart. Jensen is excited to show his girl off at Thanksgiving dinner with his family, but she has to work the parade that morning first. What starts out as a normal event filled with balloons, clowns, and cheery faces soon turns deadly as one of the floats explodes and gunfire fills the air.
