Does the sight of an apostrophe in the wrong place make your skin crawl? Does the misuse of a semicolon send you into a rage? Does a missing comma make you want to tear out your hair? National Punctuation Day was created for people like you. Today, feel free to bust out the red pen and make corrections wherever they are needed. Yo, Grammar: Is it "the 1990's," "the 1990s," "the '90s," or "the 90's"?

  This is an excellent question, which we deal with fairly regularly.

Apparently, many people struggle with expressing decades correctly.

The ’90s was an interesting period, as many of you who were born in that decade are finding out through ’90s memes, post-syndication reruns on classic television, and YouTube.

Thankfully, some of our favorite memories from the decade have been forever memorialized, thanks to GIFs.

I still have trouble sorting out apostrophe's. I defended my dissertation in December.
