I mean, if reading the book at all is that big of an inconvenience, skip the Sparknotes crap and go to MagillOnLiteraturePlus. It's an EBSCO database, and chances are, your college subscribes to it. The Magill summaries and analyses have more depth and are actually quicker to read than reading about a book chapter by chapter on Sparknotes.
(Better yet, at least attempt to start reading the book! Even if you can't finish for whatever reason, it's better than not touching it at all.
