Formplanetmars bestiary #30 -- Griffin . . . Despite their size and stature Griffin prefer to ambush their prey from the skies, dropping down on them like heavy rocks. You can identify their hunting grounds by the numerous crater-like holes left in their wake. As you can gather by their hunting method, they're quite durable. Swords and Spears are quite ineffective against these brutes. Their wings are also surprisingly tough able to strike at such blinding speeds you may actually lose your head. Luckily for most travelers Griffin don't hunt in groups. If you manage to survive being flattened chances are you'll only have to deal with the griffin by itself. If you can call that luck. . . .
