Aligned nonbinary individuals are not “binary lite”.

Follow this blog everyone, it’s really good

I designed a gai pride flag! This is a pride flag for any non-binary person to use who feels like their attraction is gay in a non-binary way (as in not straight, but not same gender attraction).

Orange is for solarian nbs, yellow is for nbs in general, green is for stellarian nbs, blue is for multi-attracted nbs who feel gai towards more than one gender, and purple is for lunarian nbs.

What's the difference between alignment and gender identity? -A confused nonbinary that hasn't been keeping up with terminology

Alignment is feeling a connection to a certain gender, but you don’t actually HAVE to be that gender to feel a connection to it. Alignment is explained more here.

But gender is the genders you actually Experience. Like, an agender person could feel connected to men through feeling like their attraction is achillean/relating to queer men. Maybe because of that they consider themself solarian aligned. But that doesn’t mean they actually are male/experience maleness. That’s alignment.

Real talk: “””mogai””” hate is actually code for “we hate nb people”

If you use “mogai” as negative and call nblw and nblm communities “mogai”, you are saying wlw and mlm are the only necessary communities and nb people who don’t fit or are not welcome in there should just fuck off.

If you use “mogai” as negative and call the words nb people come up with to describe their experiences of not fitting binary-based terms like gay, lesbian, woman-aligned etc (like lunarian/solarian, gai/diamoric, orbisian etc) “mogai”, you are saying the only words worth anything are binary-based ones and nb people who don’t feel comfortable using them should just fuck off.

If you use “mogai” as negative and call non-binary people “mogai” for rejecting your binary-based privilege theories, you are saying nb people whose experiences of societal hierarchy don’t line up perfectly with those of binary men or women are at fault for it, don’t deserve to be accommodated and should just fuck off.

If you use “mogai” as negative and call non-binary people who don’t conform to binary-based narrative “mogai” you are saying only one those who do matter and you hate non-binary people.

Even if you’re “LITERALLY NB I’M GONNA SCREAM” you still hate other non-binary people for nothing except for being non-binary and experiencing it differently.

You can just fuck off, if that’s your way of dealing with people.

I was inspired by the galactic alignment system for gender identity (solarian, stellarian + lunarian genders) to create a set of words for nonbinary people to describe our gender presentation without having to use binary terms. These words are adjectives similar to the lesbian terms “butch” and “femme” and are specific for nonbinary people.

The first word is “vermil” from the word vermilion which is a shade of red. This term can be used by nonbinary people who present in a traditionally masculine way without necessarily being masc aligned or solarian. The symbol in the center of the flag is the elemental sign for fire. The word + flag design were made to replicate the solarian flag’s warm colors and association with the sun, fire, and “masculine” energies.

The next word is “cerul” from the word cerulean which is a shade of blue. This term can be used by nonbinary people who present in a traditionally feminine way without necessarily being fem aligned or lunarian. The symbol in the center of the flag is the elemental sign for water. The word + flag design were made to replicate the lunarian flag’s cool colors and association with the moon, water, and “feminine” energies.

The final word is “pewt” from the word pewter which is a shade of gray. This term can be used by nonbinary people who present in an androgynous way without necessarily being unaligned or stellarian. The symbol in the center of the flag is a combination of the elemental signs for earth and air.

So using these words, a fem presenting + unaligned nonbinary person could call themself a cerul stellarian; an androgynously presenting + masc aligned nonbinary person could call themself a pewt solarian; and a masc presenting + fem aligned nonbinary person could call themself a vermil lunarian. Nonbinary people can use any combination of these words to describe themselves fully without feeling forced to use the binary terms “masc” and “fem”. I really hope these words get shared and are useful for the community, let me know if you have any questions or comments regarding them.

Reminder

nblw who have connections to manhood/men aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who are hypersexual aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who are sexually dominant/tops aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who have casual sex and/or multiple partneres aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who are polyamorous aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who are amab and not mostly women/woman-aligned aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who are aro-spec but not ace aren’t inherently predatory.

nblw who fit all the criteria above aren’t inherently predatory.

there is nothing inherently predatory or dirty about being a nblw and sexually desiring women.

There are only two nb genders according to exorsexists:

1) The Valid

- exclusively male- or female-aligned

- their social situation (relation to misogyny, orientations/attractions etc) fits the experiences of the gender they’re aligned with like hand in glove

- preferably also gay

2) The MOGAI

- anything non-aligned

- or multi-aligned, or not using alignments

- The Worst

- in case of a detailed/complicated label run and spray holy water around

How to: be exorsexist

1) Turn most lgbt spaces into mlm or wlw spaces

2) State that people who “experience manhood to any degree” are intruders and cannot be in wlw spaces and those who “experience womanhood” cannot be in and are intruding on mlm spaces

3) Kick out a whole subset of non-binary people who are genderfluid including male and female, multigender including male and female, androgynes who are partly male and partly female etc out of 90% of lgbt spaces, knowing they have absolutely no space and acceptance in straight mainstream and likely also don’t relate to it

4) Congrats, you successfully managed to be an exorsexist fuck

the problem with the alignment terminology is that it’s pretty vague - a female-aligned nonbinary person might be

  • agender with some vague connection to womanhood
  • partially a woman, partially not (partially a woman, partially a man; partially a woman, partially some nb gender(s); mostly a woman and partially not, mostly not a woman and partially one etc)
  • sometimes a woman (99% of the time, 50% of the time, 2% of the time; any other gender at other times)
  • sometimes partially a woman (yeah)
  • a person whose only connection to women is their experience with misogyny (and who identifies as female-aligned because they are seen as a woman although they are not one)
  • and many other options

and that’s why classifying nonbinary people into female-, male- and non-aligned is wrong - because those alignment terms can mean a lot of things and all the people who use the same term are completely different
