anyone else thinking about how Merlin was the last person Lancelot saw before both of his deaths

#and how merlin says more than anything when prompted that he wanted lance to be not a shade

Hahaha as much as they wanted to tone it down. It seemed pretty obvious that Mercelot got canon in that one year gap like Gwencelot in the original legends was a whole other story but you really expect me to believe Lancelot was still in love with Gwen after spending 7 days together in a total of 4 or 5 years or Merlin still helplessly pining after Arthur when there is this very handsome knight who knows his secret and is not emotionally constipated. I know they were shedding extra light on Lancelot because he was gonna die but seriously there is too much evidence to ignore.

Like when they meet in the hallway and Merlin shows Arthur’s ruined shirt to Lance and this action seems so casual and familiar like they probably done it a hundred times already. When there is a problem regarding Arthur, Merlin zooming off to Lancelot for help or you know him just complaining to his heart’s content about Arthur’s antics and unlike Gauis, who gives lectures of once and future King. Lancelot is just listening while making his own suggestions to the ordeal.

Merlin faints and Lancelot runs to him and stays with Merlin almost the entire night (I am sure Gwaine and the others visited him when he was still unconscious but Lancelot was the one who stayed).

Merlin gets injured, Lancelot immediately volunteers to go back with him and nobody bats a freaking eye over it. In fact Leon says “If anyone can get Merlin back to Camelot it’s Lancelot). Even the knights knew what was up! ALSO HOW DO PEOPLE IGNORE THE FACT that when Merlin got injured, Lancelot was done with the quest. He kept telling Merlin to stay safe and was constantly looking out for him but even after getting healed. Lancelot insists they go back home because HE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THE QUEST OR GWEN’S PROMISE, HE JUST WANTED MERLIN TO LIVE AND BE SAFE and that’s how he ended up dying because Merlin meant to him more than ANYTHING!!!

Also the fact when shade! Lancelot comes back, Merlin straight up takes him back home with him instead of further hanging out with the knights. Idk man that is pretty telling 😂😂😂😂.
