Will Stronghold clearly has a type, and that type is "noticeably older than him with long dark hair and unaddressed grievances against the Commander".
Layla's the odd one out. I guess

I redrew this scene with Warren and it reminded me this headcanon:
— Get out of my kitchen!
— It’s not your kitchen, it’s OUR kitchen
"Then get out of our kitchen!"
I love it! This is perfection!
Okay but Will straight up told Warren that he wasn’t going to Homecoming and Warren straight up told Will that he and Layla were only going together to make him jealous. Then he continued to straight up tell Will that Layla had feelings for him. Then Warren still showed up for Layla even though he didn’t think Will would be there.
Warren said he would. So he did.
This cute fanart was part of my b-day gift from a friend of mine
But I found it a month later
Warren and Will become roommates.
Because Warren works in the food industry, he keeps his kitchen meticulously clean. He washes dishes after they are used, wipes down the outside of the oven, sanitizes the counter and sink.
Because Will grew up in an affluent suburb, had parents who worked odd hours and probably a housekeeper because of it, Will is more laid back and casual with his kitchen habits. He’ll put dishes in the sink to soak, but won’t wash them immediately. He never wipes down the appliances. And he doesn’t even know how to sanitize a counter or sink.
Needless to say, the kitchen is something that Will and Warren argue over a lot.
I’ve had this idea for a while but haven’t actually gotten around to writing it ever, so I’ll just throw it out there for anyone else who might like it.
I dunno if any of you ever had to do an “exit exam” before you were allowed to graduate high school. It was a fairly new thing when I got into high school and then was canceled by the time I actually did graduate. But...
But the exam’s not a written test. It’s a super villain Death Trap/escape room. There are a number of different ones, all designed by actual super villains that have been arrested and are currently in prison. Designing the rooms for the Sky High exit exams counts as “community service” for them, or something, and they get more privileges while in jail for designing them and working with the Sky High teaching staff to help students become better heroes.
Students are broken up into groups of three and locked in the Death Trap/escape room, and must work together to dodge the traps, solve the puzzles, and escape the room. When the group escapes the room, they are offered the opportunity to meet the super villain that designed it and ask them questions.
There is one room that for years no one has been able to solve. Ever. It’s become a bit of a legend with the senior classes and the school in general. The Unescapable Escape Room.
Escape room assignments are random, and by happen chance Will and his team get assigned the unescapable room. ...and they can’t solve it. It’s so difficult! It’s almost like the room is designed specifically to counter the powers of super strength and super-sonic flight. (The Commander and Jetstream’s powers.) Absolutely nothing Will does helps any. One of the members of the group breaks down into tears (haven’t decided who yet). After the timer runs out, the teaching staff lets Will and his team out of the room.
Warren is also there for some reason (even though he should have graduated already) and he’s curious about the Unescapable Escape Room that he’s heard so much about (he was assigned a different room for his own exit exam and so never got to experience the legendary Unescapable room). Warren steps into the room and immediately recognizes everything.
Without a team, Warren completely solves the room in like ten minutes.
It was Barron Battle’s Death Trap/escape room.
Not saying I’m back in the Sky High fandom, but I did update one of my Sky High fics.
Barron Battle is feeling optimistic about the future. Meanwhile, Mara Peace has decided to break-up with him.
I should get back into the Sky High fandom. It was such a pleasant and peaceful place with almost no discourse. Seriously. When was the last time you saw someone post a long-ass meta essay over-analyzing anything from Sky High?
It’s because the fandom is, like, six people and we all agree on most major points anyway.
Warren brags about Millennials “killing the diamond industry”.
Barron Battle thinks this is a very odd super villain brag.
Will points out that heroes appreciate ethical choices when choosing engagement rings.
Barron Battle gets his diamond praised, then tracks Warren and Will down to ask more about his future.
In which we learn that Barron Battle and Mara Peace had different opinions on the subject of ‘marriage and children’... and they’re not exactly talking about it.
I just really wanted a fic where Barron Battle mistakenly believes that Will is his son too.
Barron Battle is thinking of proposing to his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Warren and Will find someone who might be able to help them get back to their own time...
The obligatory time travel fic.
An accident in Mr. Medulla's lab accidentally hurls Warren and Will backwards in time. They have to be very careful not to come into contact with their parents, lest they mess up the time stream.
