So I dreamed that publicity stills for season 2 of cgi He-Man came out and one showed what looked like a toy Castle Grayskull, so we were all wildly speculating about it. Then the season came out and it turned out Skeletor had basically recreated the entire MOTU franchise in-universe, but with himself as the hero, as propaganda for his coup. He even posed for news cameras while giving kids Skeletor action figures and screening his own version of the Filmation show. We all loved it.
I love it!
OMG! If CGI Skeletor is smart, he would do this! This is brilliant!
Anon, your dreaming brain is smarter than the vast majority of IRL propaganda engines. Holy! Ugn! <3 This is exactly the kind of highly strategic shit I like to see from my villains, too!
Damn. I know this probably isn't gonna happen in the real CGI show, and when it doesn't I will cry!
I've only really written one one-shot for the CGI show so far, but when I get around to writing more fic for it, I just might use this idea!
Thank you, Anon!
Thank you so much!
This was brilliant! I love it!
HELLO! I'm a She-Ra Fan and I read the last Question you answered. So I know that Panthor is a evil Counterpart to Battle Cat and Night Stalker is a evil Counterpart to Stridor and that brings me to Swift Wind's evil Conterpart, because they a evil Pegasus named Storm and I remeber it was Catra's Horse.
Storm is pretty obscure. I'm impressed! :D
Storm was Catra's steed in the first wave of She-Ra toys, and was almost immediately replaced by Clawdeen (another giant cat steed) in the second wave.
You're a very dedicated fan.
Got groceries.
Skeletor has successfully adulted for the day.
Was there anyone you wanted in MOTUC that didn't get a figure? I would've liked Skeleteen and Hunga the harpy.
Skeleteen. Hands down. I'm actually brainstorming making my own custom of Skeleteen. That's how much I want him.
Also, Skeleteen's generation of Evil Warriors. Odar, Trap Jaw II, Ever Mean, Tongue Lashor II, Saw Tooth, Mer-Man II.
I'd also like it to be easier to get some figures that do already exist. Like King He-Man (Adam once he's an adult and passes the sword to Dare and focuses on ruling Eternia). Both He-Ro I and He-Ro II, both had Classics figures made of them, but no Origins figures and the Origins are the ones that are easy to get right now. And a King Randor figure. They made one of him back in the 80s, but I can't find one (that's affordable) now and I have plots I wanna do with my action figures that need a Randor. (I need Keldor's brother to have a heart-to-heart with my Keldor figure!)
Also, I'd like it if they sold clothes for the Origins figures. Mattel already sells outfit sets for Barbies. Imagine if they did the same for Masters of the Universe. You could buy He-Man's harness separate from the figure at a cheaper price, then put it on whatever figure you wanted and make that character He-Man!
[EDIT]
I'd also like an Origins Faceless One so I can take him out of the box! I have plots I wanna play through with Evil-Lyn's dad, but I don't wanna take the nice Faceless One I already have out of the box!!
(And a King Hiss too...)
[EDIT 2]
I'd also like a King Miro figure. Got a lot of ideas I'd like to play through using Keldor, Randor, and Miro.
And a Demoman figure. Got a lot of Hordak, Keldor, Demoman plots I'd like to play through.
Picked up some fabric scraps from work.
Made a pattern.
But did the measurements wrong!
So what was supposed to be Keldor’s vest from Multiverse just ended up being a first attempt.
It won’t close.
And the shoulders are uneven
But it does look pretty good from this angle:
Overall this was a learning experience. My next one will be better.
My goal is to have a full wardrobe of every outfit Keldor is seen wearing in the comics (plus maybe one or two from my own AUs).
Enlarged the pattern.
Looks better now.
Still gotta add a closure in the front, cover up the interfacing with purple fabric paint, and make the belt.
Slowly I’m getting closer to Multiverse Keldor!

Evil-Lyn with her original skin tone. Since every cartoon ever insists on making her pale as fuck.
Look at the level of detail and sculpting on that skull. There's actual definition to the cheekbones and the lower mandible.
And the painting and shading!
Skelegod has pupils!
Since the promotional stills were released and we finally have a release date for the show, now seems like a good time to let people know about the MotU Discord server I'm on.
Just so we all know what we’re arguing about, this is the new Evil-Lyn action figure:
(sorry for the blurry image, it’s the only one Mattel has released so far)
The most common complaint I’ve heard is “she looks like Korra”, “they’re pandering to the Avatar fandom”, “why’d they make her Water Tribe?”
To the people saying she looks like Korra, bitch, she looks more like Hama, learn your Water Tribe!
But there so much else. going on with this figure besides “she looks like someone’s Avatar OC”.
Masters of the universe has always been full of scantily clad people. The main hero runs around in a loincloth and belts. The main villain wears basically the same. The two lead women roles both wear leotards that are basically just swimsuits with collars. That was actually one of the great things about MotU. Mens and women’s bodies were displayed equally, and exposed skin was not sexualized.
But that was the 80s. I understand wanting to revise character designs and outfits for a contemporary audience. So, that must mean that they gave He-Man and Skeletor more clothing too, right? They covered the men up as much as the woman, right?
NOPE!
Both He-Man and Skeletor remain just as half-naked as they’ve always been.
This leads me to believe that Evil-Lyn’s new outfit isn’t about updating the franchise for a modern audience, it’s just about covering up the woman.
That is my big complaint about her new figure.
...and I feel like its a much more valid complaint that just “she looks like an Avatar character”.
That being said, I actually do like new Evil-Lyn figure.
Like I already said, mens and women’s bodies were represented equally in the original MotU, AND there wasn’t very much gendered clothing. Yeah, Queen Marlena wore a dress, but most outfits were worn by both men and women.
Evil-Lyn’s new outfit looks gender neutral to me. It looks like something that could be worn by both women and men, and I like that. It appeals to me and I hope to see more characters in gender neutral clothing when the new series are released on Netflix.
I don’t understand why they made it blue instead of purple. Purple has always been Evil-Lyn’s color. And the blue is probably where most people are getting the “Water Tribe” vibes. But I can deal with that. It’s odd but not a bother.
Might start headcanoning that Evil-Lyn is a weeb and cosplays Legend of Korra from now on...
Modulok is my new favorite character and I’d like a full length series about him and his dismemberable body parts, please and thank you.
