Reading Keldor's and Evil-Lyn's character bios back-to-back makes me so fucking SAD!

@chinchillalace it most likely is meant to be leading into Skeleteen, whom is canon. They never made a figure of him, but he does appear in the mini-comics as an antagonist in the Classics line.

Here is a page from the mini-comic "The Secret Origin of Skeletor" which came with the King He-Man figure from the Classics action figure line released in 2013. In this page, the Faceless One has a vision of Keldor and Evil-Lyn having a child together that later grows up to become Skeleteen.

You can read the comic [ here ]

Later in the same continuity of the mini-comics Skeleteen makes his official debut as a villain in the first issue of the three-part climax of the Classics comic, "The Fall of Eternia".

You can read the whole issue [ here ].

He remains an antagonist through out the whole Fall of Eternia arc, with a new wave of next-gen Evil Warriors supporting him.

You can read an article about the Fall of Eternia arc [ here ].

These comics were published and came with the toy figures. That makes them part of MotU canon.

Hope this helps!

Luke Skywalker

Trunks Briefs

Prince Zuko

Tai Lung

Chandler Bing

Kevin Levin

Devlin Levin

Warren Peace

Superboy (Kon-El)

This is a random sample of some of my favorite characters. What do all these fine young men have in common?

Daddy Issues !

They also form one-half of all my ships, regardless of fanon, canon, or OC x Canon. :)

Whoo!

Who are their other halves?

• I ship LuMara and Luke x OC (the OC I made before I knew about MJ). Her name is Ruth and she’s Kenobi’s adopted daughter and a healer. I don’t watch the new films and I don’t want to strictly adhere the old EU so I stick to my own canon. Also ever noticed that Mara Jade sounds a lot like Mary Jane Watson?

• Either Trunks x Chibiusa or Prime!Trunks and a Human FC; I haven’t established a name but the OC works as Bulma’s assistant and has a mild-mannered and soft personality but is actually really powerful but doesn’t have enough confidence to acknowledge her fighting skills.

• Zuko and Tai Lung I don’t ship with anyone really

• I don’t know who Chandler Bing is

• Since it’s pretty much accepted in the fandom Gwevin; OV!Devlin is friends with OV!Eon’s daughter Kendrix (I consider OS future to be completely separate from OV’s due to massive discrepancies)

• Warren x Layla forever! I don’t hate Will but Warren/Layla had way better chemistry. Honestly Will’s happy ending should have done without the romance.

• Superboy I ship with an OC or Tim; now I don’t have a rabid hatred towards Steph because DC always seem to forget that she exists and is a cool character in her own right and I don’t like a lot of the hate that people often direct at her character. At the same time TimKon has better chemistry. As for the OC she’s the Anti Miss Martian, and that’s all I have to say about it.

*nods* All valid ships.

* Luke I used to ship exclusively with Mara. Like, I refused to even acknowledge other ships for him. That is, until Disney gave me Ezra Bridger from the Star Wars: Rebels show. He and Luke were both born on the exact same day (Empire Day), so they’re the same age -literally the same age, to the day- and have lived similar upbringings on very similar rural planets. When Rebels first came out, lots of people were calling Ezra “space Aladdin” because he kinda looks like Disney’s Aladdin, but I always called him “brunette Luke Skywalker” since they’re basically the same person. (Its like self-cest but with extra steps.) Anyway, they’ve never met in canon, but they have so machine common, I have to ship them. Luke Skywalker/Ezra Bridger

* Trunks I also ship with Chibiusa, or Marron, Kuririn’s daughter, or an OC. I absolutely DO NOT like the Trunks/Mai ship and it bothers me that it’s canon. I get that they did it as a joke at first, thinking it would funny and cute, and if it ended right there it would have been funny and cute. But then they just kept going, and Mirai Trunks is with her in his future. I’m just like Nope!. I did try to ship Trunks with Goten at one point, but they’ve known each other since they were babies and so they’ve more like brothers, shipping them felt gross. So, for Trunks, its either Trunks/Chibiusa, Trunks/Marron, Trunks/OC.

* Zuko I ship hardest with Katara. But I have been known to enjoy a good Zuko/Sokka fic as well. The list of characters I’m willing to ship Zuko with is more limited just because he’s such an angst bitch and drama queen that there aren’t that many people I think who can put up with him. Zuko/Katara, Zuko/Sokka

* Tai Lung I exclusively ship with Tigress. No others.

* Chandler is from the show Friends, and I ship him with his canon wife, Monica. But I ALSO ship him with his former roommate, Joey. Chandler/Monica, Chandler/Joey

* You already know I ship Gwevin. Fairly hard too. But I also ship Kevin with Rook. I love the chemistry they have together when they’re on screen, and I actually feel like Kevin and Rook have more interests and hobbies in common than Ben and Rook do. Rook is obviously in love with Ben, but I do honestly and truly believe that he would have a healthier and happier relationship with Kevin. Kevin/Gwen, Kevin/Rook

* Warren/Layla. That’s how the movie should have ended. But also, Warren/Will because I’m a sucker for the “rivals to lovers” trope. Warren/Layla, Warren/Will.

* You also already know that I ship Kon-El with Tim, rather passionately too. They’re my comfort ship. But, bear with me here... I’m about to get weird... ahm, I also kinda, at one time, in one specific AU, shipped Superboy with King Shark. A villain from his rouges gallery in Hawaii. In order to explain why, I would have to explain the whole AU, but it was an “enemies, to friends, to lovers” AU and it was awkward, but it was also beautiful. Kon/Tim, Kon/King Shark.

Why is 'water near a bridge' called it's name?

Avatar

Its a play on the old saying “water under a bridge”, meaning a negative event or grievance between people is over and past. “Water near a bridge” implies that the grievance might be over but not necessarily past.

I think I use the phrase a couple of time in the narrative itself. At least, I’m sure I used it in “Roots”, in the first chapter in Kevin’s pardon ceremony when they meet up with Helen and Manny.

EDIT:

I actually do it twice in that scene:
