This chapter is short and a mess. It doesn’t flow right. I’m pretty sure there are like, million logical errors, and the transitions between the flashback and present don’t feel organic.
But I updated!
And that’s what’s really important, right?
...
I am seeing a servire lack of clone OCs and it's bothering me.
Come on people, let's roll out!
I have one:
Actually, I have five, but I only have a ref sheet for one.
OC Spotlight: Lord Hode
I got a lot of positive feedback about my OC Hode from my fic series for She-Ra, “A Song of Steel and Light”. So, guess who’s featuring in my next OC Spotlight!
This post contains spoilers for the fic. If you do not want spoilers, stop reading and scroll past now.
Hode is one of the clones of Horde Prime, the same as Hordak. He is from an older generation than Hordak and, at the time that the main plot of the series takes place, he is dead. His character arc is told through flashbacks.
Click the “Keep Reading” for a complete bio.
What SHOULD your OC’s New Year’s resolutions be, and what resolutions will they actually make?
Bonus: how long until they break them?
Hode’s NYR should be to take his time, plan better, and not let his boyfriend push him into making a power-grab before they’re ready.
Instead, his resolution is just to usurp Horde Prime and install himself and his boyfriend as co-Emperors of the Known Universe. Its the same NYR he’s made every year since he and his boyfriend first switched from enemies to lovers.
He breaks the resolution when he dies.
Dak’s NYR should be to learn to find fulfillment within himself. He might be young, but he’s a great kid and people genuinely like him for who he is.
Instead, his resolution is to get Mother to love him.
It still remains to be seen if this resolution will be broken or if he’ll succeed. (Spoilers for the fic: he succeeds. His mother loves him.)
Anti-princess propaganda
I strongly headcanon that most of the Horde’s propaganda was set up and orchestrated by Shadow Weaver. It just SMELLS like her. The depictions, the art, the stories. It communicates on a human level I don’t think Hordak would produce. The Clones didn’t need propaganda. They didn’t need convincing.
Maybe that’s a big part of what she did for him - used her skills in manipulation on a large scale.
^—- agreed.
…also, I feel like those propaganda posters are just not his art style. Just a feeling.
Now I’m curious. What IS Hordak’s art style.
I think we’ve seen it:
Simplistic and utilitarian with dark colors and dramatic lighting.
How many CDs does your OC own, and whats their favorite?
There is a significant age gap between my two current OCs. So neither would own CDs. One owns vinyl records (Hode) and his favorite is by Earth Wind & Fire. The other OC (Dak) only has MP4s and their favorite is an independent YouTuber’s cover of the DuckTales theme song.
Sequel to “Genetic Composite”.
Second installment in the fic series, “A Song of Steel and Light”.

I was not expecting so many people to like my background OC. But since he is so well liked, I was inspired to do this little sketch of him and [a canon character from the Master of the Universe lore]. I apologize for the poorly drawn art. I’m a writer, not an illustrator.
I’m a moron. I forgot to draw [canon character]’s tiny mustache. Here is the updated version that is more accurate to his only animated appearance:

Hordak used to be a Horde clone action hero.
Now he’s one step short of an invalid being bossed around by a catgirl half his height.
