Sky High Fan Fic Idea

I’ve had this idea for a while but haven’t actually gotten around to writing it ever, so I’ll just throw it out there for anyone else who might like it. 

I dunno if any of you ever had to do an “exit exam” before you were allowed to graduate high school. It was a fairly new thing when I got into high school and then was canceled by the time I actually did graduate. But...

Sky High Exit Exam, all students must take the exam to graduate. 

But the exam’s not a written test. It’s a super villain Death Trap/escape room. There are a number of different ones, all designed by actual super villains that have been arrested and are currently in prison. Designing the rooms for the Sky High exit exams counts as “community service” for them, or something, and they get more privileges while in jail for designing them and working with the Sky High teaching staff to help students become better heroes. 

Students are broken up into groups of three and locked in the Death Trap/escape room, and must work together to dodge the traps, solve the puzzles, and escape the room. When the group escapes the room, they are offered the opportunity to meet the super villain that designed it and ask them questions. 

There is one room that for years no one has been able to solve. Ever. It’s become a bit of a legend with the senior classes and the school in general. The Unescapable Escape Room. 

Escape room assignments are random, and by happen chance Will and his team get assigned the unescapable room. ...and they can’t solve it. It’s so difficult! It’s almost like the room is designed specifically to counter the powers of super strength and super-sonic flight. (The Commander and Jetstream’s powers.) Absolutely nothing Will does helps any. One of the members of the group breaks down into tears (haven’t decided who yet). After the timer runs out, the teaching staff lets Will and his team out of the room. 

Warren is also there for some reason (even though he should have graduated already) and he’s curious about the Unescapable Escape Room that he’s heard so much about (he was assigned a different room for his own exit exam and so never got to experience the legendary Unescapable room). Warren steps into the room and immediately recognizes everything. 

Without a team, Warren completely solves the room in like ten minutes. 

It was Barron Battle’s Death Trap/escape room.
