I’m trying to prove a point to someone at my work and a need a very specific clip from Dragon Ball GT:
Near the end of the Evil Dragon arc when it looks like they’re going to lose and Earth will be destroyed, Vegeta grabs Trunks and tells him to take Bra and Bulma and get them off planet. Vegeta is CRYING and mentions that it’s just like when Planet Vegeta was destroyed. He is once again watching the destruction of his home and he’s powerless to stop it.
Does anyone have a link to that clip?
I’ll take YouTube, TikTok, a pirating site, whatever can be watched on a phone.
Dragon Ball GT fic I will never write
Someone went through my blog today and reblogged a bunch of my old Dragon Ball posts and its got me remembering that I once had an idea to do a long fic series taking place after Dragon Ball GT.
That's right, GT. I didn't like the series, but I did really like parts of it.
Does anyone remember the ending?
Not the 100 years flash forward with Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. that was the "epilogue". I mean the Ending, when Goku got on Shenlong's back and they disappeared and the Dragon Balls disappeared with them.
Goku's wish was to bring everyone who died back to life; and that's exactly what happened: everyone who died as a result of the evil dragons came back to life (plus Kuririn who was killed by Super 17).
BUT THAT'S IT!
The people came back to life, but the cities weren't rebuilt, the land wasn't repaired. All the people who just came back to life didn't have homes to live in, the livestock that died wasn't revived, the farmlands weren't repaired.
How did Goku expect the people he just brought back to life to survive?
Goku doesn't have to think about that because Goku vanished with the dragon.
Its everyone else who has to deal with it.
Bulma, Gohan, 18, Kuririn, Yamcha, Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, Pan, Roshi, etc. (I'm not gonna list everyone). They're the ones who now have to figure out how to house, feed, and provide healthcare for the population Goku just revived.
Also-!
(My favorite scene) Remember Vegeta's very well done trauma scene during the final battle? When he was -literally- crying over watching his second home being destroyed. Earth will still need champions and Goku just went poof.
But Goku never taught anyone the Kaio Ken and Genki Dama, the two moves that consistently save the Earth every time, or the Instant Transmission which is arguably Goku's most useful technique. How is anyone supposed to defend the Earth when they no longer have their champion or the means for a new champion to rise to the occasion?
Anyway, my fic idea:
The first part was going to be a "team building" fic of Vegeta going around collecting all the next gen characters
- Trunks
- Bra
- Goten
- Uub
- Pan
(he tried really hard to get Gohan but Gohan insists that he could do more to help in his capacity as a scholar/doctor/scientist/whatever Chi-chi made him major in, and rebuilt Earth's infrastructure.)
Marron volunteers but she's fully human and isn't the reincarnation of any kind of powerful djinn like Uub, so Vegeta turns her away (and maybe he calls her useless).
So, Gohan and Bulma was working on rebuilding Earth, Vegeta is being a tyrannical task master trying to train most of the kids, and Marron goes to Master Roshi and convinces him to train her in the Kame Style exactly how he trained Goku. Marron wears the turtle shell, she delivers milk, (I forget what else Roshi had them do in Dragon Ball, but Marron does it).
Bulma and Gohan are making great progress rebuilding society. Marron is advancing quickly in her Kame training and is confident and happy. Meanwhile, all the other kids are miserable under Vegeta's strict drills.
Some character development and plot happens, but basically, they realize that they need a "Kuririn" in their group.
They need a human who may or may not be very useful in the actual battles, but never the less never gives up, has a healthy relationship with fear and understands mortality, and is still willing to sacrifice themself if it means saving others.
Marron, even though she was rejected from being a member of their champion group still continued to train independently from them. She'll never be as powerful as the Saiyans or Uub, but its not about power for her, its about doing what she can. She understands her own mortality and has a healthy relationship with fear, but still wants to help in whatever capacity she can.
Marron is their Kuririn.
Vegeta doesn't fully get this concept even if he recognizes that its necessary. He's also too proud to admit that the team might benefit from having Marron after he rejected her the first time.
Trunks is the one goes to Kame House and invites Marron to join the team.
That was gonna be the end of part 1.
Part 2 was gonna be centered around the techniques that Goku never taught to anyone else even though he had plenty of opportunity to teach them to Gohan in the Room of Spirit and Time in Z, or Trunks and Pan during GT.
Vegeta has Bulma build another space ship and sends the kids on a mission to the same planet Goku crashed on after the destruction of Namek to learn the Instant Transmission technique from the original people who taught it to Goku in the first place.
While they're off planet, Vegeta tries to work with the remaining Z Senshi to try and engineer their own version of the Ginki Dama. They all have experience lending their power to Goku to form it, Vegeta was almost killed by it, and Kuririn has actually held and thrown it before. They all have first hand experience (albeit from different angles) with the technique. Vegeta's hope is to have a workable version of it ready to teach to the kids by the time they get back.
(also, there was gonna be a TruMar subplot)
Whats ya’ll middle school anime? Mine was Hetalia unfortunately
There are 2 types of people in this world.
I'm just saying shipping tends to bring in character bashing from my experience in various fandoms.
Let me tell you something I've seen in my various fandoms:
People bring in bashing.
It doesn't matter if its about shipping, character arcs, reboots, updates, sequels, next gens, prequels, etc. There will always be people in fandom who find something they don't like and decide to make it everyone else's problem.
I just came out of a fandom where the main discourse was shipping. Now I'm in a fandom where the main discourse is giving supporting characters more focus at the expense of the main character's screen time. And guess what, the amount of vitriol is exactly the same.
I'm not active in the Dragon Ball fandom and haven't been for years. I started a DB fic years ago (before Super came out even) and it sits unfinished and abandoned, collecting dust on AO3. I have zero investment in Yamcha, Bulma, or who you ship them with. Sorry my one post from who knows how long ago bothered you in some way. If it really means that much to you, can you link me to my post so I have some context for this conversation and can offer you a better explanation.
Otherwise, there was no need to come into the inbox of someone not involved in your fandom and pester them about their opinions of a minor character they haven't thought about in years.
Looks like you’re confused about Yamcha due to funimation’s weird/nonsensical dub changes, Yamcha is one of the least horny characters in the cast, including Bulma herself whom was often openly unfaithful to him.
Okay?
That's the version of canon I watched. That's the version of canon I'm familiar with. That's the version of canon that shaped my opinions.
Why is it so important to you that I, a person who barely ever even posts about DBZ, must explain my opinions about a minor character that I have mentioned once?
Ya know what also ruins fandoms?
Rando Anons who come into people's Ask boxes to grill them about casual opinions of fandoms they're not even active in, and then act condescending and judgmental about it.
If Anon is really so concerned with "what ruins fandoms" maybe try not starting shit by dragging people not even involved into your drama?
Just once I think it would be great to see a series where instead of demigods (or any other sort of magical- human hybrid) being less powerful than their divine parent, they were MORE powerful. Terrifying. Hilarious. The possibilities are endless.
In Dragon Ball Z, half-Saiyan hybrids were supposed to have a greater threshold for power than their Saiyan parent. But this plot point was abandoned and later forgotten after the Cell Games arc.
We already had King Kong vs. Godzilla. The fight was held on Namek and- my memories not what it used to be, but- I’m pretty sure the planet was destroyed.
i think the worst kind of love to feel for a piece of media is “this is mostly garbage but there’s just enough good there that i wish it was better”
And the random “Mastets of the Multiverse” panel of the night is...
Randor about to do the Big Bang Attack.

Yup. That scans.
Every one who Follows this blog should know by now that I ship Trunks (from DBZ) with Chibiusa (from Sailor Moon). Well, I was explaining my reasons for this ship to @nozominoyami, and after deciding that the ship made sense (( BECAUSE THIS SHIP MAKES SENSE, DAMN IT! )), she drew these sketches of their children.
From the top.
Vegeta III, or “Veggie-chan” for an affectionate nickname. The eldest son of Trunks and Chibiusa. In keeping with the old Saiyan tradition of naming the eldest son after the planet, they named him Vegeta. Unfortunately, he’s the weakest of the three. He is a capable fighter, but lacks significant ki and will never achieve even the first Super Saiyan form. He can, however, use lunar magic and become a “Tuxedo Mask” type hero like his other grandfather. But he doesn’t want to.
Tokki, the second son and middle child. The name “tokki” is literally the word for “rabbit” in Korean. Following the Lunarian naming scheme of naming (Usage, Chibiusa, etc. Tokki was named for the lunar rabdits.) As the middle child he get overlooked by his parents all the time. Trunks and Chibiusa haven’t even realized that he has already achieved Super Saiyan 2, or that he’s well versed enough in Lunarian lore and magic to be a Sailor Guardian -except he doesn’t have a Star Seed/Sailor Crystal that would allow him to transform. He’s just a normal Lunar citizen.
Lace, Trunks and Chibiusa’s only daughter. By Lunarian custom of inheritance through the female line, Lace is the heir to the Moon Kingdom throne. However, she doesn’t want it. While she is does have a Crystal that allows her to transform into the third Sailor Moon, she doesn’t want to be a Sailor Senshi, or a Moon Princess. She would rather fight like a Saiyan using fists and ki to subdue enemies with violence. She went Super Saiyan at a very young age and her older brothers are terrified of her. Vegeta and Bulma think she’s the most adorable thing in the universe, and Vegeta is a particularly doting grandfather. Usage and Mamoru are concerned.

All of these drawings were done by Nozomi, but ownership of the Ohs is shared between the two of us. I might post short one-shot fics of them later. But, for now, just enjoy the art.
I never did post fics of these children...
