Teela already looking like the new Sorceress here.
Oh my God I just realized something for CGI MOTU and 2002 MOTU crossover, did 2002 Adam get the sword through proving himself or did he just get it?
In 2002 Adam just got it.
On Adam's 16th birthday, Man-at-Arms pulled Adam from his birthday party and brought him to Castle Grayskull when Sorceress gave him the sword. Adam was resistant to taking it, but Skeletor also happened to be attacking just then, so Adam didn't really have a choice.
Lyn starts to realize that the world outside of Zalesia is much more complicated than she originally thought, and her traveling companions appear to be involved in a conspiracy of sorts.
I don't know why but I can definetly see 2002 and CGI Orko basically trying to compete with eachother to see which Orko is greater
Yes!
OMG!
They totally would!
Oh... what a headache for the Duncans!
I’ve always felt like Evil-Lyn/Keldor was a loving relationship as well. I haven’t read all the comics but I remember the one with the Snakemen where she’s dying and Skeletor is angry about her betrayal. He seems startled when he hears her call for Keldor and the part where he says he should leave her to die but yet he can not convinced me that he remembers Keldor’s love for her. Plus there is that great family pic that you’ve posted.
I have so many mixed feelings about that arc of the comics. Because Skeletor keeps insisting that he wants her dead, and when she's sitting there, dying, and calls out for Keldor, Skeletor calls her a fool.
But then, in every issue, there's at least one panel of his hands shaking when he's thinking about her. His posture is worried and desperate when he's pouring over maps looking for her. His expression is shocked and worried when the Faceless One tells him she's dying and again when Tri-Klops brings him her helmet without her wearing it.
I want to say that the comics did a good job of Show-Don't-Tell as far as his true feelings about her. But then, I also don't think the 200X comics are capable of being that deep.
Anyway, here's a bunch of comic panels taken out of context that make Skeletor look like he cares:
Where is this comic post coming from? The one with Hordak and evil Lyn in particular. Is this the mini comics?
They're the 200X tie-in comics. Not mini-comics. Full issues published to pair with the 2002 cartoon.
The ones with Evil-Lyn and Hordak are misleading. Remember: I'm posting random frames out of context (and maybe out of order too).
But basically, in one issue someone builds a dimensional gateway and has a zany adventure, then at the end, a dark figure appear in the portal and its Hordak, but the portal is destroyed before he can cross through. In another issue, Evil-Lyn tries to free Hordak because she's pissed at Skeletor, but Plot Device happens and Hordak still does not crossover.
The cloak Evil-Lyn wears in “Rise of the Snakemen” is the same one she’s wearing 20 years later during the “Fall of Eternia”. Girlfriend must take amazing care of her cloths. I don’t think I’ve had a single article of clothing that’s lasted me more then 6 years.
