How do you make friends in art spaces
it's similar to making regular friends irl, but you put yourself in the art spaces. find the people you vibe with. most artists are seeking to make connections as well
I don't want yo change my art, I just don't know how yo get it seen. I know what I make is good and would find an audience but nobody is seeing it

How do you make what you enjoy and make money off of it? I want to sell my art so badly, not for the sake of making money, I just love when people enjoy what I make to that extent. Ive had a lot of issues with my posts ending up unseen despite using tags, zines and collaborations not responding, etc. What was your approach to putting your stuff out there?
hey! thanks for asking such a great question :) part of it is that you do & you don’t. some client work you’re not gonna want to do but will have to if you want to make money from it (i recently had to draw a kid on a potty). as for personal work & your own shop, in my opinion you have to draw what makes you happy and you will find your crowd. my goal is to create characters that make me say “heh heh” and the hope is that it resonates with others.
it sounds like where you are right now might not be the time to be making money off of what you’re doing? in which case i’d recommend you continue exploring your “why”. collect your favorite artworks from other artists and ask yourself if you can find a common denominator, and incorporate that into your work. put together a pinterest board of your favorite things from childhood and do the same (that’s how i found out i like drawing animals in clothes: richard scarry, tea bunny toys, hamtaro, etc.)
