Cole having a nightmare that something bad happened to Viv? I think finding her half dead could cause that. No pressure, only if you feel like writing it!
Hii! Thank you so much for requesting! Hope you like it, I went with angst which is wierd because I had a good day and I tend to go for more comfort on good days but oh well. Anyway thank you again and have fun reading!
The room was all white, expect the floor, the floor was basically covered in blood.
In the middle of it was Vivianne lying on the floor, with her throat ripped out. Dead.
"No.. that's not... " Cole couldn't even think straight, he tired reaching out to her, but some invisible force stopped him.
He noticed his hands were covered in blood, but before he could even start to wonder whose was it a voice could be heard.
It came from nowhere and everywhere at once, sending chills down his spine.
"Why did you do this to her? She called for you, asked you to help her...but you weren't there..."
"What? Wait.. No!" He felt sick. "This couldn't ..."
"No!" Suddenly he was sitting in an armchair in their living room. Shaking.
"Fuck, this is what I get for falling asleep." he thought.
"w-wh... at" Vi, who was sleeping on a couch, moved a little, her, eyes fluttered.
He walked to her, although his legs felt like they were about to give up any minute. "Shh, it's okay everything's fine. Sleep" he touched her hair lightly, trying to ignore how much both his hand and voice were shaking. "You're okay"
she's okay, she's breathing, she's safe.
But telling himself that, didn't seem to help much, as it was instantly drown out by the voice from a dream.
But she's not really fine, she's hurt, and that's because of you...
He closed his eyes and buried face in his hands.
That wasn't a good idea as almost instantly images, both from the dream and from the day before showed up, merging into one.
Cole couldn't shake the feeling of blood covering his hands. He felt sick again, he had to wash hands, right now.
He went to the bathroom, and turned the water on, but instead of doing anything else he just lean his forehead on the mirror and clenched his hands into fists to try and stop them from trembling.
It was just a dream, pull yourself together goddamnit.
But honestly that only seemed to make things worse.
As he walked closer to the living room it got harder and harder to stand straight, finally he sank to the floor next to the couch pushing his back into it, all while a voice in his head screamed: your fault, your fault your fault.
"I'm sorry, alright? I'm sorry Vi, I'm so sorry I should have been there I know" Cole wishpered to the dark room and to the girl sleeping next to him.
He he closed his eyes and buried his face in his hands again, it seems that was all the sleep he was about to get for a while.
