I don't know why I drew this but here's Orodreth dying in a glue trap

Since the other day I drew the Orodreth dog for doggust, I naturally sketched Turin the wolf dog with him

I am doing Dogs in August on Cara and today's prompt was silken windhound so naturally I had to draw Orodreth as a dog ✨️💗

Here they are in their cute fancy Nargothrond outfits. For Orodreth this is just a normal every day look but I don't think Turin wears it very often. He's impressed how light and breezy it is.

Sharing this sketch of the sparkly boy while working on everything else.

Btw Orodreth fully believes & will readily tell everyone that he was not "born" (gross?) But rather Eldalote and Angrod found a beautiful iridescent clam shell with light shining from within while they were walking on the beach, and when they opened it, a perfectly formed child Orodreth reached out from a pile of fluffy feathers inside, as an angelic choir sang and harps played. This is how he came to be. They have tapestries of the event at their house.

Orodreth being a highly dependent person himself, isn't the greatest parental figure, if you could call him that at all. He loves his kids, they are nice to have around. Cute when they were little so he'd play with them and hold them but when it came to anything that required parenting he'd turn to his wife (Ivrenduil, a gorgeous tall butch lady who I'm yet to draw), or whatever nursemaid/governess they had. And when they were grown (mainly just Finduilas, since Orodreth never got to know Gil-galad beyond his early childhood) they're like a friend or something vaguely similar who'll always hang out with him and listen to him talk about x, y and z for hours if he likes. I don't think his kids would go for him for advice in return though.

Obvs he's convinced his children are the most talented, cleverest people out there and will praise their achievements, no matter how small or how vaguely mentioned to anyone who'll listen, at the drop of a hat.

Also I think Ivrenduil and Orodreth were sort of besties and they really love each other, it's (was?) the happiest lavender marriage in all of Beleriand. I think they still kept in touch a lot through mail when Ivrenduil and Gil-galad went to stay with Cirdan, and Orodreth was very supportive of Ivre when she was like "actually I kinda like this girl named Halderil." (I hc she has a partner called Halderil).

Shh if we stay very still and very quiet we might see a thought form

Trying out pencil again after a year. The past 7 years I've been almost exclusively digital but tried pencil each year once or twice. This year it seems I finally didn't really notice a difference between the mediums (usually pencil has felt weird and alien and difficult to control). Although I still tried to zoom and double tap to undo a couple of times.

Releasing some sketches into the wild.

Need to design his armor properly at some point that one here was so half assed.
