I have not achieved success by any means but I have been on this path long enough to feel like I may have learned some things.
Success in any goal cannot be the goal. Dedication to continual improvement and mastery over one’s self is.
First you must abandon your victimhood. Nothing bad has ever been done to spite you. Every action, word or thought is a gamble. Sometimes the outcome is favorable, sometimes not. Learn to be a better gambler.
Want a better, healthier, more capable body? Use your body like it is better, healthier, more capable. It’s going to suck, do it anyway. Your body will adapt.
Want to be smarter? Use your brain constantly. Never stop learning. Treat it as part of your body because it is. It will grow with use.
Want to be wealthier? Quit fixating on money. There will never be enough. Fixating on this is the root of greed. Focus instead on better utilizing what funds you do have.
Want to be more attractive? Take some pride in your appearance. Keep yourself clean and polished. Lean into the way you look.
Want to be a bad ass? Go forth and get your ass kicked until it dosen’t bother you much anymore. This will also give you wisdom.
Above all, take personal responsibility for where you are, where you want to be and what it will take to get there.
The universe owes you nothing, it quite simply doesn’t care, that’s the good news. If it doesn’t care then it isn’t impeding your pursuit of success. There is nothing standing in your way aside from your own perception of the way things are.
