elain and azriel sing soft lullabies to their kids as they tuck them in for bed. elain creates shadow-creatures on the wall with her hands and azriel creates animals with his shadows, complimenting her. they would make every moment of their kids life filled with joy, fun and lots of entertainment.
eventually after the kids fall asleep, they would watch their little gremlins sleep peacefully, from the door ,while their arms wrap around eachother

I can’t wait until we actually get a scene of Azriel telling Elain about how he first got his powers. How he too thought he might have finally snapped, might be going crazy. And Elain feeling so grateful that she didn’t have to go through it alone, that Azriel was there to understand her.
The payoff and callback to this moment will be so sweet.
Azriel spent time with Elain and through that realised she could be his soulmate hence why he questioned the cauldron.
Lucien is only interested in Elain out of politeness and due to the bond, take the bond away and Lucien wouldn’t be upset about it.
No matter how much Gwynriels force this idea that Gwyn would be hurt if Az got w elain, canon will always be that she is not attracted towards Azriel. She has no canon romantic feelings for him therefore she is not part of any love triangle.
Elain wanted to kiss Azriel whilst her mate was upstairs and she didn’t hesitate. That is enough to show us readers she does not care for the bond or about Lucien.
Just posting to once again point out that without Elain--Nesta would be dead, Cassian would be dead, Gwyn would be dead, Lucien would be dead, Azriel would be dead, Rhysand would be dead, Feyre would be dead...all of Prythian would have suffered.
Just pointing that out.
I love Elain so much because I truly think she’s the only one pretty and sweet enough to be with Azriel. And I love Azriel so much because I think he’s the only one gorgeous and sacrificing and good at listening to quirky ramblings and taste-testing food enough to be with Elain. And I think he’d willfully and happily sleep in a pink canopy bed with wisteria hanging down above his face. These are the requirements for a suitor for Elain. The end.
Azriel week day 6 Song of the Wind
Azriel’s story to Feyre about Nephelle and how it inspired him is one of my absolute favorite moments of the series and especially the graphic audio because you get to hear Azriel talk for like 8 minutes straight LOL
But Az finding such inspiration for his own flying journey from a woman everyone else would view as weak and meek is such a breath of fresh delicious air in a world full of stinky men trying to bring women down to step on them.(it honestly reminds me of how this fandom treats elain lets be real here). One thing I love about sjm’s writing especially with azriel. The great respect and kindness he holds towards women. Like how he purposely changes how he holds himself as to not upset or intimidate clotho in his bonus chapter.
If you aren’t VERY sure of Elriel, you can definitely fall onto the other side and believe all their fantasies. Just saw earlier a fan art of GA for Azriel’s week and literally the caption and the comments were on such a level of delulu, that even I started to wonder “Maybe Gwynr!el will really have a book? Maybe I missed certain scenes where they were foreshadowed?” LOL. 😂😂😂 They speak with such conviction that I just know their fall will be BRUTAL once they realize that GA is really not happening. 🙂↕️😂

Putting this reply here because I want it and it saves me time to say the same thing.
So, you, an elriel, I presume, admit that what Elain and Azriel were about to do was indeed wrong? That Elain pursuing another guy while still having the bond with Lucien is not right? Elain who is not technically, but canonically, undeniably, irrefutably Lucien's mate. So you admit that what was about to happen in the first part of the chapter would have been wrong? That if Elain was so in love with Azriel and dying to be with him as Elriels believe she should at least say it to Lucien's face and reject him instead of staying ever in silence because no, a mating bond is not something that you can just ignore away? That there are not just political ramifications to consider but also how Lucien, who has been a literal darling all the time and described by several other characters as a good male, doesn't fucking deserve to be treated this way?
Hello, person behind ghost blog with randomly generated name, who sent a screenshot of a blog that evidently doesn't exist but is tagged in Elucien fanfictions.
First of all, thank you for sending this ask. This is the first time I've gotten a passive-aggressive fandom related ask like this, so this is low-key a tumblr milestone for me. So thank you for that.
I assume the screenshot included is someone's response to an ask they received in regards to this post since the wording is somewhat similar, but I can't actually find the blog you screenshot so idk what's up with that.
Now, onto the actual ask. The screenshot says "Did Azriel think anything about touching Elain feeling like touching the Mother herself? Lol, no." I believe this is referring to this sentence in my post "Touching Elain is the closest this man has come to meeting the Mother herself."
I did not mean to imply, in any way, shape, or form, that Azriel wants to get down and dirty with the Mother and is using Elain as a conduit for that kink. I simply meant to say that touching Elain was a very monumental experience for him. In the back of my head I was thinking about how he was literally questioning the Cauldron ("What if the cauldron was wrong?") which is a large part of the "religion" in Prythian, therefore anything that made him question it is undoubtedly a big deal for him. I see now that this wasn't very clear in the original post, so thank you for allowing me this opportunity to clarify my thought process.
Now, if I may, I will reply to the paragraph you went to the effort of actually typing out. Yes, I ship Elriel, you presume correctly. Do I think Elain and Azriel almost kissing is wrong? No, I'm afraid not.
This seems to be a follow-up to "The situation is wrong because Elain is technically mated to another guy who is literally sleeping upstairs." in my post. Is Elain wanting to kiss the man who has been nothing but kind and caring and gentlemanly since she's known him wrong? No I believe not.
Despite her canonically, undeniably, irrefutably being Lucien's mate, she actually does not owe him anything at all, least of all an explanation, because she did not make him any promises. She never went up to Lucien and said "I wanna explore this thing between us" and then go behind his back. If that were the case, yes it would be wrong. But alas, it is not.
I don't have it in me to go pull out the actual quote, but Rhys said in ACOWAR I believe that a female being a male's mate does not equal to her being accountable to him for every breath she takes. Elain is well within her right to not want to do anything at all with Lucien, as demonstrated by her being more than willing to kiss someone else in the same house.
Okay, if this isn't wrong, then why on earth did I say that it is? Easy. Because while Elain and Azriel are not doing anything wrong, their actions will be perceived as such by others and will have consequences far beyond the two of them.
On the topic of sweet darling Lucien, I wouldn't go as far to say he is one of my favorite characters, but I certainly don't hate him and would like to see him get a happy ending. However, he hasn't really done much for Elain to say he actually cares about her or wants a life-long relationship with her. His inner monologue consists of thinking Elain was "thrown" at him and he chooses to spend his days living with another woman on the other side of the world. Doesn't seem to me like either of them want jack and shit to do with each other.
p.s. Just because someone is a "good male" doesn't entitle them to anyone's time and affections, especially someone who has shown no interest in them and even seem to avoid them.

Elain’s response to this small, gentle gesture of gratitude and “I know you can, but let me” is to leave the room to freshen up with the cutest little flustered blush. You can’t convince me this girl doesn’t have a crush.
‘Azriel set the potatoes in the center of the table, Cassian diving right in. Or he tried to. One moment, his hand was spearing toward the serving spoon. The next, it was stopped, Azriel’s scarred fingers wrapped around his wrist. “Wait,” Azriel said, nothing but command in his voice.

Rhys explains to Feyre that Azriel has some scars in regard to how his mother was treated, and one of them clearly surrounds this moment with Elain.
What’s more important is that Azriel chose this point in time to give this moment of caring to Elain. He saw the work she put into this meal, and chose to offer her a little extra care and respect. It’s really such a sweet moment, and the perfect way for Azriel to show to Elain his genuine care for her.
In order to show proof for Elriel, all I have to do is hand someone the books, as they are. No additional commentary required.
In order to argue for Gwynriel/Elucien, one has to:
- skip ACOFAS
- watch 30 slide shows
- turn Azriel into a fuckboy character who flits from woman to woman
- read TOG & CC
- read ONLY the 2nd half of the Azriel bonus chapter
- scour through internet archives to see one ambiguous deleted facebook post from 2017
- browse through SJM's deleted Pinterest
- call everyone and their mother an unreliable narrator
- watch 18 more TikTok's to prove how certain words that appear multiple times throughout the text for a variety of reasons - now mean a couple is mates
- ignore all of SJM's most recent interviews
- treat Elain like someone who is incapable of voicing her own wants and needs and is a fickle child
- ignore every Elriel moment and pretend they either only show lust or they only are siblings -> take your pick bc apparently both work despite being contradictory statements (unless you live in Alabama)
- lose your sense of feminism as you cheer for a man to get his happy ending at the expense of a woman
PSA: Azriel saying "This is wrong" in the Bonus Chapter does not mean that touching Elain feels wrong. Touching Elain is the closest this man has come to meeting the Mother herself. The situation is wrong because Elain is technically mated to another guy who is literally sleeping upstairs.
To repeat, touching Elain is not the problem, the situation involving her mate and the political ramifications of that is the problem. I really didn't think this was a point that needed to be spelled out like this.
Todays fun facts:
- Elriel’s did not come up with the concept of a bad/wrong mating bond … the author did. And she did it in direct reference to Elain and Lucien.
- Elriel’s did not come up with Azriel liking Elain as more than just a friend … the author did. And she did it with insanely hot and specific detail.
- Elriel’s did not come up with Azriel not considering Gwyn a friend … the author did. And she said it explicitly from his own thoughts.
You can argue with some of our interpretations of moments or events, but you cannot deny straight up canon facts. Have a nice day everyone!
