1899 1.08 | “They Key”
hi for the love of god hello my new 1899 crack theory is that daniel is actually ciaran.
in episode one maura is looking for her brother who she believes was on the prometheus.
the episode ends with daniel climbing aboard the kerberos after destroying the evidence that he was the one sending the prometheus’ coordinates
more wild speculation beneath the cut

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (2022-)
“[Jacob] also had a facility for language that was going to be really, really helpful. (…) Both he and Sam speak this heightened prose and dialogue as if they’re just talking. Not everybody has the ability to do that. A lot of actors have to act in between the lines. They could do it on top of the lines, which is just something that was going to be easy for the kind of writing I was doing here.” (x)

Really one of my most strongly held beliefs is that it’s deeply unhealthy and soul-stunting for children to only consume media the world’s most coddling and judgemental adults determined was ‘age-appropriate’, and watching stuff that would horrify your parents behind their back should be encouraged and rewarded.
Okay so this going super viral and getting a bunch of notes again over the last couple weeks (for…some reason? It’s a year old ffs) is mostly horrible for missing notifications but also all the random anecdotes in the notes are fun. But also I swear some of the examples people are giving make me feel like the most insufferable edgy tryhard when I remember what I actually watched/read as a kid/teenager
Okay but I’m loving the diversity of what people are calling their formative fucked up material. The X-Files. The Shining. Call Me By Your Name. Isis beheading videos. The Simpsons movie. Anne Rice erotica. The Hunger Games and other series written for the exact age boasting about their age inappropriateness. Someone said this is why ATLA was great. We’re all out here living different realities.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE S01E05. “A Vile Hunger for Your Hammering Heart”
Did you know that the sunrises and sunsets on Mars are blue?
The scattering is produced by fine dust in the planet’s thin atmosphere. Also relevant, the disk of the sun is smaller, visually, than on Earth. Images like these reflect, more or less, the actual views of the sunset, as taken by Martian rovers. And looking at them like? It kinda makes me sad. ‘Cause I know irl any mission to Mars in my lifetime is likely to be a doomed corporate venture. But still. I would like to see a blue sunrise.
Like! Those are real places! That’s just…a place. You could stand on that ridge, on that rusting rock, if you had a enough protection, and you could watch that with your own two eyes. How am I supposed to be chill that I can’t do that?
