Art nouveau Studio Ghibli - Marlboro
Pixiv user marlboro creates richly detailed portraits of the characters from Hayao Miyazaki's films. Each art nouveau-flavored illustration is packed with images and symbols from each movie.
I've seen a lot of art nouveau fan art, but all those details really make these something special. They're such lovely homages the the Studio Ghibli films, and it's easy to get lost in them.
Studio Ghibli - 1985- 2014
Headquartered in Kogane, Tokyo, Studio Ghibli is easily the most famous Japanese animation and film studio in the world. Founded in 1985, the company’s logo features the fan-favorite Totoro from Hayao Miyazaki’s “My Neighbor Totoro.” Many many times has Studio Ghibli been called “the Disney of Japan” and Hayao Miyazaki“the Walt Disney of Japan.” I certainly can’t argue with that – Miyazaki and Ghibli are both pretty magical.
Over the years Studio Ghibli has won many awards for their whimsical creations and in 2002, Spirited Away won a Golden Bear and an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. To this day it remains the only film made outside of the English-speaking world to have done so.
Sick Fearless Bastard - Ivo Berg
I took this in the middle of the night on Ed and Frans balcony. I loved both of the cats, but they were incredibly suicidal all the time. They actually fought and chased each other on this railing, and as you can see its pretty damn f****** high. My heart always skipped a beat when I saw them doing this, but Ed told me its OK. Loco gatos potones!
