starting to work towards a gremlyn infosheet, doin a little standardisation of Design....

(okay, listen, it's me doing taxonomy on the fact i do a LOT of different bodyplans for characters my brain insists are the 'Same Type Of Guy')

#the my art tag#realistically there's a gradient and a mix-and-match between the Common Features Of Gremlyns#they just tend to cluster up in ways that make it look like there's any Truly Individuated Types#and anyway they're Fundamentally Magical and have a *default* size and shape they can definitely modify#although i think that the degree of like. magic any one gremlyn has. is variable.#and i think long-eared gremlyns are less likely to have any *significant* magical power#(like when i draw my goblinsona i'm like. oh that's just a little guy.)#(versus my pink and blue weirdo whose entire physicality can do Very Unusual Things and who routinely levitates)#(or serif who straight up has an Eldritch Form)

more old OC revisitation - goddess of good fortune, reyanahr, fallen on rather poor luck herself.

my old art gave her a human form that like......was very, i dunno, just human? i wanted to make her more unearthly than that this time, and retain some lapine/lupine features. (her animal form, which she ultimately ends up bound in, is a blend of wolf and hare - i may actually shift that towards fox/hare for theme reasons??)

i never really dove into how The Necromancer (who never got a name) managed to bind her, or the repercussions of that on the setting at large, now i think about it. but boy did he have a good time (derogatory)

august 30 doodlepile: revisiting some real old ocs!

kai and red were from a story i was writing age, like, 14 about a girl who falls in love with a dragon. it was cute. she turns into a dragon at the end.

zaenne was a really big-name oc of mine when i was maybe, 15-17?? she was one of several artifically designed beings who were like, Living Social Experiements. zaenne was, uhh, The Hot One.

#the my art tag#socket's ocs#the deep lore on zaenne's creation is that i actually just smushed her together on halloween one year#after i think attempting to de-pokemonify Mara#but i guess that drawing didn't look anything like mara and i went 'ooooh who's this then!!'#that's why her colour scheme is Like That and why her facial marking is Like That#rather than anything more eyecatching given that me saying 'she's the hot one' is not doing her Actual Lore justice. she's meant to be like#striking. eyecatching. her appeal is aesthetic. but also i was 15 and newly discovering Women Are Hot so functionally. same thing.#i drew her a LOT and it was absolutely totally not an excuse to draw big booba
