Hello, I'm alive.
My life turned inside out and upside down in the last several months. It's been a challenge to do creative work, and the time I spend drawing is at an all-time low, but I wanted to share this project since it's crafty and creative in a way I haven't been in a while. I more or less followed these instructions, although if you're going to try this out for yourself I recommend using this type of exacto knife rather than the kind called for in the tutorial--as you cut deeper into the text block, the end of the knife handle will start hitting the top page and will scuff it up.
To say that 2014 was a rough year is an understatement. I feel like I say this every year (and maybe I can be okay with that), but I have such high hopes for 2015. It looks pretty promising at this early point. <3
