One of my favourite headcanons about Asra and Muriel growing up together is that Asra was a fantastic moral support with Muriel figuring out his gender

But he’s also the worst when it comes to the cosmetics

yeah so like holding asra's hands. interlocking your fingers and swinging your arms gently as you walk thru the market. or just lightly clasping them, maybe only locking pinkies, as one of you drags the other to look at something that caught their eye. maybe a sneather (snake sweater) for faust or a lemon pastry for muriel or something they just know the other would look ravishing in.

Interlocking arms as you stand on a bridge, overlooking the railing to watch the gondola's go past in the canal below. the sunlight's reflection shimmering in the blue-green water and soft mindless touches across your palm. you think he's watching the boats but really he just can't take his eyes off of you.

his hand covered in flour and both of you, from head to toe, soon after. what started as an experiment to try to replicate selasi's pumpkin bread soon lead to a baking race, and not long after a full-on flour war. he sneaks a quick boop on your nose, making even more of a mess, before following it up with a kiss. then he smear even more on your face as he cups you cheek to pull you closer. you stood in each other's embrace until you smelt a twinge of burning bread and remembered your loaf still in the oven. he won the contest. :/

his hand running though your hair as the other takes a sip of tea and he reads aloud from the book strewn across his thigh. You lay on the other, limbs stretched out and eyes closed in perfect relaxation. you only open them to gaze loving at his perfect features. every once in a while his motion stops as he leans down to press a faint kiss on your forehead. his touches sometimes wander to message your arms and back, wanting to feel all of you that you allow him. you revel in the sheer bliss of his touch knowing you'll soon return the favor.

Here’s Muriel for the Merm AU! I decided on a cross of several fish for him, but mostly Goliath Grouper since they fit really well. I like the thought of him having rounded fins and a softer appearance despite the stuff he’s been thru, and tried to keep his story close to canon and consider the consequences manacles would have on a merm, etc. He’s doing much better tho! In this AU instead of chickens he keeps sea slugs, and tries to watch over visiting kids because he worries they’ll fall into the tank… they lean so far forwards against the glass… children pls…

Asra headcanon you didn't need but that you'll get anyway because sharing is caring!

Headcanon: Asra washed his hands to the point of ruining his skin in the months after visiting the Lazaret. They're fine now, but he has to apply lotions to his hands to keep them hydrated.

Every time Asra worries about the Apprentice, he rubs his fingertips together, and even when his hands are squeaky clean, the skin under his nails remembers the lingering, powdery feeling of fine, dust-like ashes trapped between them. And if he doesn't get confirmation that the Apprentice is fine, he has to fight the urge to scrub his fingers and hands raw.
