okay!!!! (x)
Who’s Steven Moffat and why is this bad
M0ffat is finally gone from Doctor Who! Time to retcon all his work.
“What’s Wrong With Stephen Moffat?” Rebloggable by request
fleurdeneuf replied to your post “Did you hear about how the Sherlock finale has been the lowest rated…”
ugh…i just watched the finale last night, and it was such a let down? the plot made no sense, i wasn’t happy with the stigma on mental illness, my heart broke for molly, and the end was so…anticlimactic. i don’t expect anything good from moffat, of course, but such a blah end to a finale did surprise me.
It was a let down which is sad because it had such potential. The story was there but it was executed horribly. Nothing made much sense. The only thing I was happy about was more Mycroft. I like him but was disappointed when he didn’t show how much smarter he is than Sherlock. Why keep pointing it out if they aren’t going to follow through? I don’t know. The acting was all on point this season but the writing most certainly was not.
Did you hear about how the Sherlock finale has been the lowest rated ep yet? It makes me very happy finally some justice in the world tbh
LOL. I did see a headline about the ratings but didn’t read up on it. Wasn’t the episode leaked before it aired though or was that just a rumor? If it was leaked that could have contributed to the low ratings.
I’m having a little bit of fun reading about how upset the Sherlock fandom is with the whole season though. I sympathize with you. Really I do. Welcome to how a part of the Doctor Who fandom has been feeling for years! The poor Sherlockians are now on the joy ride that is Moffat trying to explain his choices and fill in the blanks he so often leaves behind. My favorite ‘fill in’ so far is from this article about not showing the aftermath of the ‘I love you’ scene between Sherlock and Molly. Just everybody go read it. He basically says the scene was way more devastating to Sherlock than it was for Molly. Sherlock hurts more. Molly was fine. She probably just had a drink and went and fucked somebody.
It’s 2017 and Moffat is still the worst!
I’m thankful that this will (hopefully) be the last Doctor Who Christmas special written by Steven Moffat….but we still have to make it through season 10. Ugh.
In fact, according to the show's head writer Steven Moffat, the sexual tension between Peter Capaldi's Doctor and his companion Clara played by Jenna Coleman has been bubbling away all this time. Danny Pink would NOT be happy (if he was still alive). "Because we're in a very different place with the Doctor and Clara in the modern series, it's been a while since I've seen the early stages of the Twelfth Doctor trying to pretend he doesn't fancy Clara," Moffat told interviewer Jaci Stephen. “'Oh you're ugly, disgusting, stop looking so good!’”
Sounds pretty cut and dried to us – although Capaldi might disagree with Moffat’s assessment, having previously told the Sunday Times there would be “no flirting” between his Doctor and Clara. “It’s not what this Doctor’s concerned with,” Capaldi said. “It’s quite a fun relationship, but no, I did call and say, ‘I want no Papa-Nicole moments’. I think there was a bit of tension with that at first, but I was absolutely adamant.”
Just a silly anti Moffat reaction gif for anybody that might find it useful.
He can't do it!
I actually didn't mind Death in Heaven that much but one thing I hated was this
I really didn't care that she was throwing the keys away. I wasn't afraid for the Doctor because of this
Moffat himself wrote out the need for a key to open the TARDIS. It even works for Clara, which Moffat also wrote
So this all seemed like an empty threat. Sure you can explain it away by saying something like the doors have to be unlocked for the snapping to work in the first place but that's never explained. I assume the snapping works at any time. I might be nit picking but I don't care. It was annoying and ruined the emotional impact of the scene for me.
The Doctor loved River. He married her! The Doctor can never see Amy or Rory again because reasons. Clara survived the Doctors time stream and remembers nothing because reasons. Clara loves the Doctor or the Doctor loves Clara....? The War Doctor. The Doctor never destroyed Gallifrey. He would never do that! Having never destroyed Gallifrey takes nothing away from the stories of the 9th Doctor or 10th Doctor. Clara convinces the Time Lords to give the Doctor more regenerations because...love? After knowing he didn't burn his planet the Doctor celebrates his new regeneration by becoming darker, more alien, and shows this by being mean to humans because...he's an old alien and that makes it ok...? When people try to explain all of the above to me.
“SS Marie Antoinette. Out of control repair Droids, cannibalizing human beings. I know this is familiar, but I just can’t seem to place it. Sister Ship of the Madame De Pompadour. Nope, not getting it.”
The Shippy Dalek commentates not so popular Doctor x Rose scenes. 3/?
Me during that scene. Extreme eye rolling.
Basically me after watching The Day of the Doctor and everyday since then. I still haven’t been able to watch it again. Just skimming through it to make gifs is painful enough. Nonsensical rubbish.
