“Basics, Part I”

I haven’t played Temple Run in years, but the other day, I decided to open the app again. I had a really good run where I managed to beat high school me’s high score, but not my longest run of 37,000 m.

Tonight, I played a single game of Temple Run. I will never have a better run.

That’s about four times as long as my last run. Also, I think my previous high score was 2 million something, so I’ve completely destroyed that.

I was also just two gems shy of beating my most gems record. And the sad thing is, that record was set using gems as a powerup, so I earned most of them by collecting coins. 😭

Also, I did it lying on my stomach with a cat on my back. He climbed on me while I was playing and kept adjusting position. It’s a wonder he didn’t make me die. Lol. Needless to say, my shoulders hate me.

I love teaching a small group of kids at a small school. Half my students (plus one younger brother) turned up outside my window, asking me to go rollerblade at the court while the high schoolers play volleyball. Now I’m sorta reffing a four square game. Three of the players are still on skates.

I’ve watched Voyager more times than I can count, but somehow I’ve always managed to miss this little moment in “Fair Haven” where Janeway shakes herself after they get hit by that wavefront.

I open tumblr. I see a post I’ve never seen before. It’s a good one. I laugh. I go to like it. …The heart is already red.

Poor B’Elanna. She very nicely offers to take the Doctor’s camera and take pictures for him since he didn’t get to go on the away team he’d signed up for (something she wouldn’t have even considered doing a few years earlier), but he grumpily shoots her down … only to later ask Neelix to do exactly what she offered.
