"2020, in one way or another, has changed the course of our paths, and got us lockdown in concrete jungles, as in our case, during months, the outdoors were forbidden, in the distance and dreams I looked back at images and videos from the last trip we were able to make.

🇬🇧 ⛰Few shots put together of this griffon vultures, filmed my very first day out after quarantine, i’ve missed you guys. You can hear in the background, juveniles screams, nesting in a cliff next to this promontory. 🦅

""Serenity" is a non-narrative short drone film, produced with the unique camera angle, facing straight down at -90º at the wonderful texture of earth landscapes.Because of this and the subjects it captures, you can watch this film both horizontally or vertically. Here is a horizontal version, but you can see the vertical one, on my Instagram or IGTV.
The film itself is a 3 minutes blend of total tranquility and calmness that allows you to escape reality for just a short while. Shot in different places on earth such as Iceland, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Belarus and Russia, it shows the unique and gorgeous landscape at an unusual angle. So bring up the volume or put on headphones and immerse in it."
OMG look how the waves refract around the peninsula on both sides

Periodic table of beach elements
SUBMISSION: In 2013, during a summer holidays in the Cadiz beaches (south of Spain), I started collecting with my daughters different stones. I was amazed by the variety of different sizes, shapes and colors. After a couple of days we collected enough of them to start playing about how they are relating to each other. I do not remember how I arrived at the idea of an interesting way of ordering them, and finally to the concept of creating somehow a periodic table with them. Some months later I started trying to arrange them by groups in the same way the different chemical elements are arranged: metal, non-metals, noble gases etc. Based on their characteristics I thought that maybe there would be different ways of organizing them. I also created two versions of the canvas, this one was done in a black cardboard trying to imitate a blackboard, and the other one was made from historical pictures of the first versions of the periodic table that I found on the internet, printed and colored to make the impression of being old documents. How to fix the stones to a canvas easily? I tested different options like magnets but it wasn’t easy to find strong and cheap magnets. After some time, the stones and the canvas were moved to our house storage, till last month, when they appeared during an inspection of the storage. It was time to decide what to do with them. I’ll probably have to trash them but I wanted to take some pictures before doing it. The pictures were taken at home with my new camera L16. The lighting was very simple, I placed the canvas and the stones near a window and took the pictures with the camera on a tripod.

This captivating photo was taken by astronaut Barry Wilmore, commander of Expedition 42 to the International Space Station (ISS). Through a haze of cloud covering parts of Spain and Africa, we can see the lights of civilisation, smouldering, as if on fire. We love photos like this here at The Earth Story, as it puts our planet back into perspective. Earth, for the moment, is truly one of a kind and one thing that all of us have in common, is that we share it; our home. -Jean Image courtesy of Barry Wilmore.
