A lone cheetah jumps up on the Landcruiser to escape the intense heat after feeding. These clients yesterday were treated to a close encounter and the safari guide also managed to grab a selfie. This behaviour occurs in Maasai Mara and Serengeti. These cheetahs are quite relaxed around humans.
It’s important to stay calm in these situations, to just observe and not touch them. Give the cheetah time to recover and it will eventually take off again. .

There are two things you can be certain of encountering when on safari in Africa. Clear, star laden night skies and the ever faithful Toyota Land Cruiser, workhorse of the industry.

Tree-climbing lions. Wild dogs on the prowl. Thirsty leopards. Loud, angry hippos. Curious elephants. Hungry brown hyenas. Cheeky warthogs. Yawning zebras. The magic of Africa!

We always try to tell the most colourful stories through our videos: stories of people, brands and most importantly, stories of places. But there we were in Kenya with a new story to tell with the wild animals in the immense grassland. And just when we had sketched out a plot in our minds, Kenya added new wonders for us with the astonishing intensity of the night sky and the moon, the blue brilliance of the beaches and the sheer unassuming nature of its people.
Wow Tapes has taken us across the globe but very experiences have been as culturally exhilarating as this one. We were accepted with broad smiles and open arms into a wonderul campfire evening with one of the many tribal groups in Masai Mara. Sitting under the moonlight, we heard tribal legends and felt the human-aspect of the animal-dominated savannah.

Can you see the terror on my face as I came face to face with a rhino on a walking safari? What an incredible experience, and one of the reasons my holiday to South Africa was the best ever. Read all about it in my latest blog post (link in bio) - it’s also my entry to

In February 2018, my sister and I made another trip: Africa. We started with the 7 day climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was hard, but we made it to the top! After that we rented a 4x4 land cruiser at Victoria Falls and drove through Botswana, Namibia and ended in Cape town. In these 6 weeks we experienced a lot of new things.Too many to count. So, with 6 weeks of filming in this continent I made a short edit with all the highlights of our trip. Enjoy!

From the Okavango to Chobe to the Kalahari Desert, Botswana is home to some of the best wildlife in the world. Safari Botswana explores the overall experience of an African safari, from start to finish, in a unique way. It concentrates on seamlessly connecting the details of a safari - the small plane arriving, the first-person-view from inside the safari vehicles, and of course the abundant wildlife and beautifully diverse landscapes. Captured entirely with still images, it is an immersive glimpse into what you might encounter in the natural world of Africa.

shaunscroobysafari Love the sounds and playfulness of wild dogs. If in a pack like this then they can be a formidable hunting team and the alarm calls can be heard in the background as other animals are aware of their presence. .
