Snaking through the sky
This panoramic photograph of the Milky Way was taken in Serpentine National Park. The falls are formed where water tumbles over the Darling Scarp, a major fault near the coast in Western Australia that separates ancient, Precambrian aged crust from younger rocks in the Perth Basin to the west.

Ok so this week’s #timelapsetuesday is coming on Wednesday because I spent all night Tuesday out creating timelapses! Then, I woke up this morning to an inversion layer (literally my *absolute* favorite photography conditions) and everything from last night is now forgotten. Anyhow, please enjoy.
Original caption: "Joshua Tree's prehistoric terrain makes you feel like you're visiting an alien planet, so it was easy to give this footage an atmospheric structure in post. Everything was shot using my BMPCC 4K and Canon FD 50mm F/1.8 with FD-MFT Metabones Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x. For filters, I used a Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/4 and my NiSi IRND 0.9 with a 4x5.65 Tilta Matte Box. Editing and grading were done in Premiere using the Crunchy Gold LUT by BUTTERY LUTs."

Santa Elena Canyon, Big Bend National Park In this site the Rio Grande River has carved through the remnants of an ancient ocean. During the Cretaceous Period, sea levels around the world rose, reaching such a level that the interior of North America hosted a vast seaway. The area east of the Rocky Mountains that today is open and filled with grasses and farmland was submerged beneath hundreds of meters of water.
