Climbing the second highest peak in Washington (Mount Adams) this past weekend.
A hike up to the summit of Mt. Whitney, California, surrounded by the granites and metamorphic rocks of the Sierra Nevada batholith. Some smoky sunsets in there as well from the current wildfires.
Climbing Semeru volcano in Indonesia and observing its eruptions from the ground and over the top via drone. Really cool shots!

Every year millions of people come to experience the majestic mountains around Chamonix in the French Alps. Whether theyʼre mountain climbers, backcountry skiers, hikers or tourists - they all embrace the Mont Blanc massif in their very own way. And so did I as a filmmaker and timelapse photographer when I created this timelapse film. It takes you to the higher grounds of the Mont Blanc massif - where nature is shaped by giant mountains and glaciers.

Climbing one of the world’s greatest climbing destinations: Smith Rock, Monkey Face.
Smith Rock sits at the edge of Oregon’s largest volcano, the Crooked River Caldera. Watch it on BetterGeology: Supervolcano at Smith Rock!
Smith Rock State Park, Oregon.
- Video by @BertieGregory. Extreme climber Alejo Sanchez descends down an enormous rock face deep in the heart of the unexplored Chiribiquete National Park, Colombia (turn sound on to hear him singing!). When he reached the bottom of this cliff, he made a remarkable discovery. He found a massive panel of ancient paintings featuring jaguars, people and more. This area is home to many of these paintings, representing some of the earliest evidence of humans in the Amazon. I shot this whilst accompanying a team from Fundacion Herencia, an incredible group of people doing real 21st century exploration. It’s very humbling to know that there are still places on this planet we know almost nothing about. But despite it’s remoteness, it is still under threat. We owe a huge thanks to Parks Colombia and the Colombian Ministry of Culture for their support.
