A timelapse trip through the landscapes of Canada
Canadian Dike This single layer of rock standing above the surroundings is an ancient piece of igneous rock. It is a dike, a vertical path taken by molten rock as it moved upwards through the crust. The igneous rock formed a crystalline structure that was difficult for the environment to erode, letting it stand up as seen here.

Another place I’m adding to the list of places I will visit once this is over. Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Canada 🇨🇦 Being quarantined i quickly realize how many beautiful destinations I would love to visit. Are you feeling the same way? Are you realizing certain things about yourself during this quarantine? .

Voyageurs National Park and the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area in Minnesota are a series of partially to fully connected, remote lakes that straddle the Canadian-US border. Boaters, hikers, and campers will head out into this area and make excursions from lake to lake; here are some of the lakes, seen from the ground and overhead.

Video by @bertiegregory | A harp seal pup takes a swimming lesson with its mother in the Gulf of St Lawrence, Quebec, Canada. This species has an extraordinary breeding cycle. Females give birth to pups on moving ice floes. They suckle the pup for just 10 to 14 days. During the last few days of this short period, they encourage the pup into the water to help them learn to swim. After the swimming lessons, they abandon the pup. The females then mate with the males who have been waiting nearby before heading north to their feeding grounds. The pups at two weeks old are left alone with nothing to eat.
