FISHING FOR SOUTHERN LIGHTS During a fishing trip in the South of Tasmania – the southernmost State of Australia – Paul Anderson decided to take a walk down to the Tessellated Pavement (a natural formation of stone seen in the bottom of the image). The forecast for auroral activity was good, so he set up his camera after dinner and caught this amazing display. October Aurora in Maine
Mike from @Taylor Photography caught the dance of the aurora borealis on a recent shoot in Maine (US). The display was dramatic, but was over relatively quickly. He said that the strong vertical spikes and visible oval shape of the aurora were quite a sight. Shown here is one frame from a 40 minute time lapse that he took next to a small pond. The reflection on the water makes this image all the more memorable.
