This reel has been years in the making and is my love letter to my favorite place on Earth: the world's greatest meeting of land, sea, and sky, Big Sur, California.
I shot these scenes with my Canon 5D Mark IV & Canon 5D Mark III and a variety of Canon lenses. The timelapse clips were processed in LRTimelapse, Lightroom, Quick Time, Final Cut Pro, and Compressor.
The music is "Worth Everything Ever Wished For" by the talented and generous Dexter Britain.

A selection of photos I took of last night’s lunar eclipse from Manchester, UK.

I’ve not done anything to them yet except cropping and roughly centring them - just wanted to get them out there! They were taken with a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS with absolutely no consistency in any settings, but I think they turned out okay?

Here is a photo of a stunning Sun Pillar captured near Hearst, Ontario on the 10th of June 2011. Sun Pillars occur typically during sunrise or sunset; when sunlight is reflected off the surface of falling ice crystals associated with thin high-level clouds, like Cirrostratus clouds.  The crystals are hexagonal, plate-like crystals and as they fall they are forced into a horizontal orientation due to resistance from air. The result is the reflection of this beautiful pillar of light.  -Jean  Photo courtesy of Rick Stankiewicz Photo details: Canon 400D camera; 18-200mm lens - 38mm; ISO 200; f/5.6; 1/80 sec. exposure.
