On a misty afternoon, a set of colossal stone hands emerge from the earth, holding the lives of visitors traversing the curved paths of a suspended walkway. Cau Vang, “The Golden Bridge,” stretches a length of 152 meters and hangs over 1,400 meters above sea level. The stone hands — a $2 billion project created to draw tourists to the Da Nang region of Vietnam — look as though they’ve been weathered by decades of time — though the project was completed just earlier this year.
